I share a practice space with these boys, probably my favorite band in Birmingham. They got asked to record a Darkthrone cover for a compilation that's coming out later this year (2014)

Tricky decision whether to keep the production black metal and close to the original, or push the heaviness that this band is capable of, so I went for a much more modern approach, but after discussions with the band it was decided we had gone a bit too polished, and wanted to get some of the raw aggression back into the mix. Now it is just a 4 minute slab of hurt that I am proud of. Looking forward to seeing how it sits on the compilation.

Online portfolio of some of the bands and artists I have recorded. 

I have played drums since i was 14, and like to record and engineer music from the point of view of the drummer. Capturing a drum sound is my favorite part about recording and I firmly believe if you don't have a good drum sound, you don't have a good sound over all. This is not to say I am unsympathetic towards the other elements, I just know drums and I know my mic locker. 

Mainly interested in recording more abstract, experimental and avant garde music, while I believe I can give an edge to the more traditional sounding songs.
