G#NG is not just about a 'boy growing up in the hood', it’s about taking everything that he’s learnt within the hood and emasculating to the point of where everything becomes irrelevant. The term G#NG is associated with dark colours. It’s also associated alongside drugs, girls and heartbreak. So essentially G#NG is about taking away the perceived ‘hardness’ persona as we delve right into the pain of becoming involved in such circumstances or environments. The song is a juxtaposition to everything mentioned above, it almost glorifies everything about being in a gang, but once you align them with the cover art/additional images, the flower doesn’t really mean what it’s supposed to mean, as it’s disguised amongst the colour pink.

We associate pink with happiness and love, but in a 'G#NG' (or simply just life) it could be a sign of weakness. In a G#NG it’s most likely that at least once you would have experienced some sort of trauma such as the death of a 'GANG' member, Girlfriend, Family etc. In this instance G#NG challenges whether the colour pink could be an outlet for upheaval & distress, and subconsciously delves into the mental state of men battling depression.
