Homebreakin Records has traversed the globe to Germany, picking up a pair of well-regarded producers specializing in irresistibly synthy sounds. Munich’s Alkalino and Stuttgart’s Linntronix have combined forces for the not-so-teutonically titled Garçons EP, featuring three groovy tracks of cosmic hijinks. “Analog Flow” opens the proceedings with four-on-the-floor flair, blending disco vibrations with deep house affectations. The floor-inspiring vocal hook and ringing chords should help keep the strobe light simmering at full frequency. “Yeah Yeah” presents a moving piano motif flavored by dubby percussion effects, buzzy synth leads, and a filtered plucked guitar. Its ’80s ‘night cruising through the city’ feel would make Crockett and Tubbs proud. “Garçons” closes out the EP with an uplifting, clappy rhythm and a series of optimistic staccato pads providing an appealing melody. The super-catchy bass line adds weight to the track, bouncing off the drums in a manner to trigger some serious hip action. These two garçons have undeniably served up some tasty nightclub groovers!
