A short recording of the sounds I enjoyed sitting by the river Wear in Durham having a coffee break whilst out surveying my patch for the annual Otter Survey.

A colony of Sand Martins buzz quietly overhead, occasionally within a couple of feet of my head, whilst chasing down morsels for their voracious young.

One of the elements of the soundscape at Teffont Evias that I really enjoyed, was the way the rooster calls reverberated around the surrounding hills. In this section there is a rooster calling in the distance in a way that somehow sounds quite melancholic to my ears. He is joined about half way through by a closer rooster, as well as blackbirds, jackdaws and a wren throughout.

A BINAURAL render of an AMBISONIC recording I made of some very noisy frogs In Ibiza, Spain. As the recording continues you can hear that the wind increases (hear it rustling in the trees overhead). Also at approximately 5:10 some Blackbirds can be heard very close to the mic array.

Equipment: ZOOM H8 with ambisonic mic capsule.
I have since found this to be a little noisy so I've upgraded to a ZOOM F6 and a home made ambisonic mic and some "Clippys" for this type of recording. 
The Binaural rendering from "A format" ambisonic was done using the HARPEX X plugin.
