TEKNO BOMB

Timo became an online friend of us during the Covid period, thaks to a remix that Secret Factory & SouveQ did on his Utopie track released @ Stripped Down Records. It was an 'augenblick" to have the same vibe, and we've decided to invite him to our podcast series (first), and he accepted!! :) So please welcome Timo Maas for our 13th podcast episode! 20 years ago to the day I stepped up to the decks at the Manumission Opening Party (The Good Ship) and opened with Lenny Kravitz "Are You Gonna Go My Way." It was a complete statement of intent and the place went wild, the biggest reaction I have ever had. I closed the party each week in the Coco Loco, and armed with just Technics 1210s and CDJ 500s I weaved a tapestry between 80s dance, funky house, rock 'n' roll, indie, soundtracks, synthpop, electroclash and French touch. To mark my favourite ever summer in Ibiza I have drawn on my memories to create this mix which took me back (and I hope it's same for you) to those moments of Manumission madness from 7 to 9.30 a.m.

Hoy hace 20 años de aquel día en el que me subí a los platos en la fiesta de inauguración de Manumission (The Good Ship), y abrí con Lenny Kravitz "Are You Gonna Go My Way". Fue toda una declaración de intenciones y el club se volvió loco, la mayor reacción que he tenido nunca. Cerré la fiesta cada semana en el Coco Loco y armado con tan solo unos Technics 1210s y unos CDJ 500s tejí un tapiz entre dance de los 80, funky house, rock 'n' roll, indie, bandas sonoras, synthpop, electroclash y French touch. Para remorar mi verano favorito en Ibiza, he recurrido a mis recuerdos para crear esta mezcla que me ha transportado a esos momentos de locura de Manumission de 7 a 9.30 de la mañana. Espero trasladarte a todas aquellas emociones con esta sesión conmemorativa.

Ebben a podcastban csak saját számok és saját készítésű remixek
hangzanak el, amit live act-ből rögzítettem, hiszen én magam nem vagyok DJ, soha nem is voltam. Ez azt jelenti, hogy nálam nincsenek kész track-ek. Az alapok megvannak, de csak az adott pillanatban alakul ki hogyan, milyen hosszan, illetve milyen hangszeren szólal majd meg egy egy téma. Ebben a live act szettbe most bele került az elmúlt 28 év gyümölcse, több generációnyi szeretet.
Például 1 óra 15 percnél a gitárszóló konkrétan a faterom gitárszólója 1988- ból. Kazettáról digitalizáltam vissza, majd azt remixeltem. De benne van sok közös barátommal készített szám is. Elég nagy utazás lett 80-tól 150 BPM-ig. 
Az is biztos sokat hozzáad, hogy minden fellépésre viszek kabalát, amit agyerekeimtől szoktam kapni.

Hallgassátok szeretettel, a szívemet adtam bele.
