Ibou Tall was born in Dakar, where he is considered to be amongst the leading Jazz   keyboard players of Senegal. After numerous street band projects such as “Xamle”, “Jant Bi”, and “Xalima”, Ibou joins the Setsima of the star singer Alioune Mbaye Nder through the record label Africa Fete, as a composer and bandleader which led from 1995 to 2002, to 10 albums including many number one hits in the Senegalese charts.
In 1996 Ibou arranged the album “Boul Ma joylo” of the Hip Hop band Jant Bi which became number 1 in the Senegalese Charts. 
In 2002 after touring with Nder in several countries of Europe, Africa, the USA and in the greatest world festivals such as the Central Park's summer stage in New York, the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, the Wurzburg African Festival in Germany, the Montreal Jazz Festival, and recording with stars such as Baba Maal and Ousmane Toure, Ibou leaves the “Setsima band” to start his own solo career under his label TalliB PRODUCTIONS. 
From 2002 to 2019 Ibou has been involved in numerous international projects as a musical director or session musician such as “The Melting Pot Jazz Trio”, “Nobody’s Perfect” album, The Mankala band, The Matuki band, “Ibou Tall and Jazzmates Yoonwile” album, The “traitors”  Thriller series recording for channel 4, the “femme qui suis Je sans Mari” documentary for TV5 France, “Just for Habib” Tribute and the “Yaye Boye” single.
 In 2020 Ibou joined the DBS university to complete a degree in Film/Television whilst still directing the Jazzmates band and other side projects like his second documentary score for the French company “Paroles Tissées.”
