Description: In my inaugural podcast I speak with a 17 year old gent named Carter Ferris who, despite a shaky few years battling a multitude of ongoing health issues found that his passion for dirt biking helped foster and maintain a positive attitude while battling the ongoing ramifications of a tick bite.

This song was born from a commercial piece that I composed. I didn't land the job but the song stuck so I developed it into what it is now. The idea for 'Lion’s Feet' was born from a commercial composition I had worked on but didn’t get. It featured a wonderful, wee gal, probably nine or so, walking through a theme park with her little dog; exploring the sights with great wonderment. It got me thinking of what it's like to be a child; unencumbered by general fear, consequence and worry; a time when our imaginations weren’t somewhat squashed by the weight of life….. that is, unless you arrive at an epiphany later in life to have come full circle, no longer giving a shit about stuff that ultimately does not matter; instead concentrating on the present and acknowledging the joy that any moment can bring. 

That’s what the song means…. 

And then my wife, best friend, Caroline, had a dream one night about a video for this song so she wrote it all down like a screenplay, storyboarded it with her sister Vanessa then went on the hunt for an animator. She found one online, a gentleman named Tom in Croatia and contacted him then they spend about 6 months or so, during co-vid working together via the internet. Her interpretation of the subject matter combined with Tom’s whimsical animation style just worked. I think they really nailed it. You can watch that here: https://youtu.be/h9tCVBlGHno
