KunstKammer is a duo formed by Emiliano Brescacin and the  drummer-percussionist Lucio Bonaldo.
This project is aimed to explore the live interactions between acoustic instruments and live-electronics.

On this track the  drum is captured and processed in real time by the Emiliano's live-electronics.
Aleatoric rithems and crazy sounds interact with the acoustic drum to create a new experience to the listener

01) Kunst 1 - Kunskammer (Emiliano Brescacin/Lucio Bonaldo)

Musica Povera RieLaborata is a series of 6  electroacoustic  pieces based on the original Lucio Bonaldo album named Musica Povera, the original work is a 9 tracks self-released cd entirely made whit simple and “poor” instruments played  by Lucio itself and recorded at his home studio in Italy.
When i visited him the last time he show me various projects, inclusive this work and when i  heard it i immediately realize that was the perfect source material for a project that was bouncing in my mind at the time.
The result is  6 electroacoustic pieces all performed by myself whit my own software designed in Max/Msp.
All the pieces was performed and recorded at the same time, no edit or dubbing was applied after the performance!

06) aliens orgasms - Musica povera Rie-Laborata ( Emiliano Brescacin)

A 9 minute improvisation piece realized with a few small samples taken from the Cornelius Cardew: Piece for guitar (For Stella 1961) From the CD: Cornelius Cardew - Chamber music 1955 - 64 (Apartament House).
I really like this cd and in a hot December 30, waiting the end of the 2012 i decide to use some sample for my purpose.
Cause the old recording and the kind os sample taken off the resulting sound have a lot of hiss that are really part of the music and contribute to the final result.

If you enjoy Cornelius Cardew as well as Polwechsel I think you should listen to this little piece.

Uma improvisação 9 minutos realizada só com alguns sample retirados da: Piece for guitar (For Stella 1961) From the CD: Cornelius Cardew - Chamber music 1955 - 64 (Apartament House) de Cornelius Cardew.
Adoro este cd e em um quente 30 de Dezembro, esperando o 2012 acabar decidi usar algum sample para o meu próprio propósito.
Por causa da gravação antiga e do tipo de sample retirado o som resultante tem um muitos chiados que são realmente parte da música e também contribuem para o resultado final.

Se você gosta de Cornelius Cardew e Polwechsel acho que você deve ouvir esta pequena improvisaçao.

Day 30, waitig the year ends

Born in 1978 and grew up in a little town called San Polo di Piave in the north-east of Italy, since young age Emiliano demonstrates interest in music, 
he start to play bass at the age of 15 and take lessons for a few years.
He soon found interest in unconventional music and he left the school to concentrate in his own projects.

Bought an Akay sampler he start to experiment with samples and field recording, he choose don't work whit sequencer and spent a lot of time trying to find 
ways to treat and process the samples in real time.
At the age of 20 he bought his first PC and starts to experiment with cut & paste techniques and modular softwares.
During this period met who will be his most important collaborator: The drummer Lucio Bonaldo.

At the same time Emiliano start to go deep into sound engineering which become his primary job until now.
He studied at famous Fonoprint Studios situated in Bologna, with the engineer Maurizio Biancani, and later he starts work like studio assistant and live engineer around italy.
At this point together with Lucio chooses to  build his own home studio called StudioTanSound.

The big changes come in 2003 with the acquisition of an old Powerbook g4 and Reaktor, now he has finally left the hardware world to concentrate in built his 
own software.
In 2008 he left Reaktor for  moving to MAX/MSP and since then it is the only software he use.

In the early days of 2009 Emiliano make another radical change, he move to Brazil, where he actually lives with his girlfriend, work like freelance
sound engineer and produces electronic music.

Since he start to use MAX he concentrate his research into the live interaction between acoustic instruments and live electronics and chooses don't work with prerecorded samples anymore.
He develop his own software that allow him to record and process the any kind of incoming signal in real time and give the ability to play live in a very 
intuitive way.
