I broke the vase (Eva Matsigkou and Nefeli Sani) met each other during their studies at the School of Music Studies οf the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. They started playing together during the courses of experimental and improvisatory music and chamber music. They are interested in exploring means of sound production, improvisation, and experimenting with intermedia and performance art. In their live performances they use instruments, objects, electronic elements, voice, recordings and loops. They usually follow a script inspired by a poem, a story, a concept, a work of art, verbal and graphic scores, while their roles are never distinct but constantly interchangeable.
