"Bob Dylan Jr.," the tale of the musician son of Bob Dylan, an electrician from Zanesville, OH having no relation to the folk singer from Minnesota,  chronicles the rise of B.D.J.R. and his band Beady Jar. Their ascent from precocious alternative rockers bringing the heat to parties and DIY venues in and around Ohio University to touring buzz band on the radar of major labels was swift, but  B.D.J.R. would not go by a name other than the one he chose for himself. So all the label suits decided he couldn't "play the game," and rescinded their deal offers. B.D.J.R.'s muse never died, though. He's still playing to this day in Central Ohio.

"All the Pieces Fit" is the first single off of Jason Matu’s debut album, "Dumb Ecstatic Bliss," coming this fall. Produced and mixed by Justin Craig. Mastered by Greg Calbi. 

The song posits that "all the pieces fit how the pieces fit." It is a daring position to take, to be sure, but it is one the tune takes with the utmost confidence. It is if it is sure that the pieces do indeed fit how the pieces fit, when most of us don't even know if there are pieces at all, let alone if they fit together. Even as a marvel of philosophical reasoning, it still manages astounding feats of poetic excellence. 

The track features performances the aforementioned Mrs. Matu and Craig, as well Adam Kruckenberg, also in Shapes on Tape with Mr. Matu, and Cedric Warner Sparkman, who was the singer for the band, Candidate, in which Mr. Matu played bass and wrote tunes.
