Sleep Deprivation (Mixtape)

DISCLAIMER: This mixtape wasnt made to be professional or anywhere near perfect. The point was to find my own lyrical style and get comfortable with it. That being said, its not sloppy by any means. Anyway. 

To be a musician, of any kind, requires constant introspection and a pursuit to further understand oneself.  This mixtape is the result of the beginnings of my introspection as an artist.  It wasn't made with the best equipment, nor in the most organized fashion.  But its honest.  The whole thing was made on one half on my bedroom with a Shure Sm7b, a preamp that was too cheap to power it, my macbook pro, and free software.  So all that considered, the result is something I'm definitely proud of.  Whether or not anyone else likes it, I spend hours and hours while everyone else slept trying to get better, and I know that I did.  I hope some of it speaks to someone out there.  Enjoy.  Or don't.  Its good either way,  that's what art is for.  Have an opinion.

Breath In the Gas - Icarus (Abject EP Sneak Peek)

A couple verses over Mac Miller's "Thoughts From a Balcony" off Macadelic.  Just had to put something out to announce I'll be doing a series of short thematic mixtapes over about the next two months.  There will be three of them, titled Wings I, Wings II, and Wings III.  They probably won't be more than 3-4 songs a piece, considering the time frame at hand.  Since they're themed, each of them will be very strong in its chosen tone.  If its dark, it'll be dark all the way through.  If its bright, it'll be bright all the way through.  Thanks everybody.

This was written today on my way back from New Orleans.  It should explain itself.  A bit of an impulsive recording, so its not truly professional, but its meaningful to me and I had to record it tonight.  Thanks everybody. Much love.
