For the first track 'This Way', swelling piano riffs pave the way for Beth's strong yet tender sounding vocals and one of Colossus' signature roaring yet silky smooth basslines. A beautifully relaxed liquid track, this is Colossus and DnBethh at their best, showcasing how their individual musical styles conjoin and make something truly beautiful. When it comes to liquid D&B, this is some of the finest around and shows why the duo have had such success with their collaborations.

The second track 'Quantum' demonstrates Colossus' versatility as he provides a much darker techier sound than the previous number and proves himself equally as proficient at creating dancefloor bangers as he is at liquid soundscapes. Gorgeously intricate percussion creates an amazing backdrop for his superbly smooth and oozing bass while expertly tweaked vocal samples are sliced in regularly to give the track a real ebb and flow. Crisp kick drums round the track off and give it real impact, watch out for this one.

Here's some history on the launching of Icarus Audio! Originally, this tune was scheduled for the 001 A-Side vinyl release, backed w/ Menace's "Resistance" (which later released on the 002). In the process of building a digital side, and focusing on some different things, the original lineup got a bit lost in the shuffle and this one lost it's pairing and it ended up in our vault. Without further ado, it is time to let this one loose to the people that have helped shape and make Icarus Audio the label that it is today! Thank you so much for all of the support and we can't tell you how much we appreciate you!

To give, is better than to receive! So this Christmas, we present you with the ORIGINAL 001 A-side vinyl release for FREE DOWNLOAD! From the minds of Neurofunk madmen Subtone + Stalker aka Fortress, we bring you this slice of future funk from our budding days, entitled "Crookz".

The technically adept L33 steps up on this one. Spearheading the assault are some fierce infectious beats and coarse, vibrating saw synths. Effects laden flickering pad patches fill out the left and right hemispheres while a murky, rattling and centrally hitting low end bass chamber anchors the beats and reigns the whole arrangement in for a tight sounding, meticulously produced firing neuro smack up.
