Dzūkijos mokyklos skambutis

A collaboration with a photograher Raminta Maciuleviciute (also photo credit). The piece consists of 5 part journey from 0 Hz or delta brainwave to the highest gamma up to 100 Hz: in my mind and in this piece it goes from NOTHINGNESS - SUBCONSCIOUS - MEDITATIVE - CONSCIOUS - BLISS.

Transformation

Aistė Noreikaitė is an artist working in the fields of interactive sound and bio-hacking. By chance she came up with an invention called ‘The Experience Helmet’ that sonifies the brainwaves. Her interest in consciousness and externalising the internal can be seen in her experimental performances and work with eeg. She also is a part of a group Cephalopedia which combines printing, science and sound into one whole during Fluxus inspired events. Aiste is aiming to create new and excitable experiences to her audience. She loves complex things that manifest in her mind via abstract shapes and sounds and expresses that through experimental form itself.
