A project 5 years in the making, Sea Of Ice is a collaborative album between WristWok, BayCruz, DatBoiP, Katø, and Gatman highlighting the sound of underground West Coast Hip-Hop. From the very first track, the album demonstrates the combined force of these artists as a unit, sharpening each other like iron sharpens iron. Singles like Triumph and Red Ferrari highlight the album, showcasing each artist’s unique ability to master both cadence and lyricism. Even the iciest of storms cannot shake the Iceberg Crew as they never waver in the face of adversity, overcoming thousands of miles of distance to create a special project.

Perhaps the most important track on the album, On The $ide represents a quest for success through music and chasing one’s dreams while remembering lost friends. Recorded in the summer of 2021, the recording sessions of this song were attended by a great friend of mine who passed away in 2023, Vitaly Reno. As the song ends, you can hear us all talking during the session. This track and the album are dedicated to Vitaly, as well as Eli, Tone, David, Seb and more.

On The $ide

A ferocious onslaught of trauma, Iceberg deals with the troubles of navigating life’s difficulties. A remembrance of those we have lost as well as what has brought me to this point, Iceberg is one of the only solo tracks on the album. The original recording of this was to a similar beat by the same producer, but was used by Lil Durk in the years before Sea Of Ice was finished. This track is Gatman baring it all, the last 5 years for the world, and his way of begging for forgiveness.

The Iceberg Crew is a collective of musicians from the West Coast, spanning the Bay Area to the Pacific Northwest who have worked tirelessly the past 5 years to record, mix, and master Sea Of Ice, a collaboration album that showcases the unique abilities of each artist. Production on the album is a standout, with much of it coming from Iceberg Crew’s own Katø. Each artist has incredible verses, captivating hooks, and bars that make you stop and think. From DatBoiP’s melodic voice, to the aggressive drive of WristWok’s vocals, BayCruz’s irreplaceable flow, the passion of Gatman, and the lyrics of Katø, there is something for everyone on Sea Of Ice. The mixing for the album was done by Gatman, and the mastering was done by WristWok.
