This music was dreamed up by Uone and Markey at a long-gone Rancho Relaxo festival. Some time later, Uone played the recordings to vocalist Seiki at the Rancho studios and the two were inspired to co-write the lyrics that tie the piece together. There's more than a wisp of opium-den poignancy curling through the resulting seven-minutes. As a way to sum up the label's grimy wistfulness, you couldn't get much closer than this.

I'm bring Fall a bit early with my latest album; it was actually supposed to be a 3-5 track EP but my ideas kept on expanding 🍂🍁😅🎹🎧🎵!  The album Pumpkin Pike Place started as an experimental drink I created; a simple pike place medium roast with pumpkin sauce [1 pump], no sugar, (can add cinnamon for extra kick though), any amount of cream desired.  The results of that drink was quite good. ($3.45 Tall or $3.75 Grande at least in Ohio).
Music-wise, just filled with some chilled beats fitting the seasonal occasion.  Hope y'all stay warm and best wishes! 🙏🏾🎶🎧

In the year 1997, Nickodemus & Jay B met through friend & music fanatic Eddy Plenty. At the time, Nickodemus was DJ'ing at Organic Grooves & Giant Step parties & experimenting with sampling from his record collection from around the World. Jay B was writing music & experimenting with the latest in computer programming software. Their shared love for fat beats of soul, funk, trip hop, jazz from around the World was the common ground that made for a quick music making synergy. In the 1st year working together, they managed to make the following songs as well as a few remixes & unreleased beats that never made it off of the DAT recorder. We hope you enjoy these songs from the Brooklyn Beat Cave in 1997.
