It’s about watching someone slip away and realizing your “good intentions” didn’t save them… and then having to live inside that silence.

Hospital blue in the blinds. Bad coffee. Shaking hands.
Trying to count ceiling tiles so you don’t count the dead.
And the worst part isn’t just loss — it’s the shame of what you didn’t do, didn’t say, didn’t fight through in time.

I wrote this one for everyone who’s ever replayed a moment like an autopsy:
Should’ve called. Should’ve stayed. Should’ve kicked the door in.
And for the part of grief that gets weirdly angry at the way people romanticize pain — like calling it “beautiful” makes it easier to hold.

This song is me tearing the gold frame off tragedy and saying it plain:
you were a whole person, not a poetic ending… and I’m done looking away.
