Dj Ice now known as Ice Music SA, original name Isaac Tshabalala, (born April 22, 1989, hailing from the north of Pretoria, in a semi-rural village of Hammanskraal called Kutlwanong, Dan House). South African self-taught record producer with a touch of chill-out pop, electro, afro/tribal house in his sound and has been in the music industry since 2007, presently signed to his record label Iqwatainment.

In 2009, together with his friend Mr H they co-produced an album titled “Lost Comfort”.  ‘Nyaolami’, a tribal house track from the album was their hit banger that gained some huge momentum in and around Hammanskraal. Fast forward to 2012, Ice moved to Johannesburg after obtaining a bursary from NEMISA which was funded by the SABC to study TV and Film Production.  The qualification he obtained from NEMISA helped him step his foot into the corporate world which helped him transcend into being a multi-industrial individual.  This also had some ramifications that juxta positioned him into a dichotomy of having to focus more on his profession rather than chasing his dream of music.

 He has had some intermittent disruptions in the music scene in the past 7 years and this often made him lose touch with his creativity while simultaneously pursuing his profession as a freelance technician for some of the biggest SA television broadcasting companies namely, Mnet, Supersport and Kwese. It’s been really a protracted daunting musical journey with a whole lot of trials and tribulations but Ice Music SA is still defying to relinquish his undying love for making music. He has produced and contributed to 38 records including but not limited to Thabatha feat Sistas Felas, Drive Me Crazy feat Nomy B and Vona Wena which he co-produced with Sifi Qideo and released as duo under pseudonym Rural Boys.

Now with his mesmerizing and breath taking new hit single titled “Love Is Easy” Feat Turn Up Lords, he describes this track a chill-out pop rap. This song is meant to inspire and encourage people in finding love in the little things and appreciate one another, more now than ever amidst this pandemic. “One thing we need the most is to love one another like never before”.  This new hit track “Love Is Easy” is available on all music platforms and he is working on an Untitled Ep which will lead or build up to his second album.
