The highly respected and much loved doyens of disco Crazy P are curating a brand new series of records for 20/20 Vision, featuring a fine selection of exclusive tracks produced by some of their favourite artists. Although rooted in disco the project showcases the bands wide ranging and eclectic musical world, incorporating; balearic moments, downtempo beats, indie dance and electronica. The music will be spread over four vinyl records featuring bespoke artwork from Bristol based visual artist Victoria Topping, back illustrating for the band after creating several of their classic covers in the early years. The concept of the curation is to bring diverse like-minded artists together and re-invigorate the disco scene in the spirit of unity. 

Volume One features a brand new track from the Crazy P called ‘People (We Can Transform) sitting alongside a selection of disco dubs and stompers courtesy of Ashley Beedle, LA based ASHRR with Felix Dickinson on the remix and U.S funkateers Change Request & Saucy Lady. 

Vinyl will be distributed by Juno with digital released through Republic of Music coming Autumn 2022 with the series culminating in summer 2023.

Mumbai based artist Nate08 has been dazzling his home crowd with outstanding performances as a DJ and live performer. Signed to London label Needwant, his sound touches on the groove-oriented territories of R&B, neo soul, and soulful house with his elegantly spun productions. Real name Nathan Thomas, Nate08 presents a kaleidoscopic debut in the shape of this much anticipated album 'Furaha'. Setting the tone with Latin guitars that glide over intricate percussion on the title cut, Azamaan Hoyvoy's vocal follows livening up the summery haze of 'Trigger Fool', while the funk-flecked 'Bunker' sees Nathan's bass proficiency arrive in full force.The captivating chords of 'Hold Up' soar over rolling bass and shimmering synths, while 'Sunrise Sunfall' is a stunning example of Nate08's organically spun deep house prowess that features Jitwam's soul-drenched vocal locked inside the dancefloor groove. ‘Want You’ features Mumbai artist Megan Murray who’s vocal provides the perfect hook, there’s an R&B house hybrid 'Feel It', with a striking performance by Lojal, followed by 'Cold Muse' with its broken drums and heavy chords that play out over some deadly bass. The album closes with the warm and friendly soulful house joint 'Primrose’, which sees the album home with a most fitting flourish.

Elzy Padme, born in Ukraine and currently living in Georgia, finds inspiration in organic sounds, attempting to capture those that most reflect her life. 
Since the beginning of the war in 2022, she started a long journey that took her across several countries, arriving in Istanbul where she finally flew to Tbilisi.  It was during those months that she decided to record ambient sounds as a travel diary and then submerge them into her music. This Ep holds treasures she collected during her migration.

These were the stories that he told himself, tall tales from long ago which had got lost in the spaces in between. It had been a while since he’d last let himself think about such history and nostalgia for it was buried deep in the recesses of his mind. His memory palace was a place visited once in a blue moon for the magic which lived behind those thick castle walls was sometimes best to be left alone.

Lying amidst the tall grass he watched as the clouds moved slowly by overhead, he’d allowed himself this one afternoon to daydream upon what might of been in another life. He opened the heavy gates and let his memories of a wilder, better time come rushing in.

He closed his eyes and nodded off…

Priori continues to develop and grow as a producer, moving toward deep, pensive textures and atmospheres on a new EP for Midgar Records. The Pareidolia EP is comprised of four tracks of intelligent Techno which teases and intrigues – this is a record which will sound good on dark nights and in smokey rooms.

Straight from gloomy Vilnius, Alex Pletnev (aka Ponty Python / part of Moisk duo) is delivering a new record for London-based imprint Linale Records. As a DJ, Alex is a resident of well-known funhouse Opium in Vilnius. During recent years, as a producer, Alex released music via Meda Fury, Needs, Not an Animal and many many more. After a loud & sold-out release for R.A.N.D x Echocentric records earlier in 2023, Pletnev returns with the vinyl-only 'Carma EP' out on Linale Records.The EP kicks off with the electrifying track 'Red Nails Black Lips', a dance floor house killer complete with breakbeat loops and rave stabs. Following suit, 'How Could I Prove You Are Wrong' takes the tempo up a notch, fusing a blend of techno beat and talking trance arpeggios. Flipping to the B-side, 'I Stole It Somehow' offers a meticulous homage to proto-house, transporting us back to the late 80s and early 90s with its use of classic 909 drums, minimalistic rave melodies, and a distorted lead with walking LFO. Finally, the title track "Carma" brings the record to a close, delivering an atmospheric electro masterpiece that serves as the ideal soundtrack for a techno party amidst the enchanting backdrop of a summer night forest.

Out of the blue came these tracks by french producer IZA, but we were delighted with that deep dubby techno sound that reminded us of those classic Basic Channel and Chain Reaction records! All 3 tracks of the „Coasm EP“ have the same length, the same dub feel and the same rawness!

Next up is a wicked all vinyl mix from two Edinburgh based DJ's - Donald Dust and The Nightlark. Two stalwarts of the Northern scene who have helped pushed forward leftfield electronic music in the Scottish capital and beyond.

This mix demonstrated an enormous depth of understanding as the pair weave between an eclectic assortment of House, EBM, Italo and beyond to craft a hypnotic tape which will sound as wild in the headphones as it would in the basement of a Scottish dive bar on a Friday night. We're thinking dimly lit, red lights, a lot of smoke.

The pair are fierce record collectors and the process behind delivering this mix was long and complicated. The result was worth the wait as it demonstrates a masterclass in genre fluidity and dancefloor prowess.
