Family techno party :: ichbinpapahase @ Unkraut :: Aug 2024

This mix was recorded during a recent sunset session in August 2025 with approximately 30 friends and friends of friends on a boat in Berlin. I named it after one of my favorite summer songs - Night Moves by Bob Seger - because just like at the end of a memorable summer, after a beautiful night on the dance floor autumn always closes in.

I'll be listening to this mix when it gets cold to remind me of warmer days and good times with people I love.  I hope it has a similar effect for you.

I improvised most of this set, so I don't have a track list, but it includes music from some of my favorite artists and labels including @6raj, @languagesmusic, @interdependencemusic, @reconsider-music, and many more.

Night Moves (Berlin Sunset Mix)

Recently I had the pleasure to play a set at the "Tuesday Rave-Off", a meditative yet high-energy dance session at b23 Space to shake off the tensions of every-day life and connect with our bodies in a mindful way. No phones, no talking, just the participants and our bodies moving, feeling, releasing, connecting. 

A lot has been discussed about electronic music culture evolving into new formats - especially "conscious raving" or "light clubbing".  So far the Tuesday Rave-Off is one of my favorite examples of this trend: club-level energy, complete with lights and smoke machines, but at 8pm on a Tuesday and everyone meditates after.

Thanks to my friends at b23 Space for inviting me!  But don't let the meditation part fool you - this set still goes hard!  The track list is inspired by some of my favorite deep house/tech house music I've been curating lately, often in more traditional club environments ;-)
