To introduce @janefitz as a legend of the scene borders on understatement. The UK selector has earned an almost cult-like following born out of her annual sets at Freerotation festival, co-founding London’s Night Moves parties (with good friend Jade Seatle - @jade-green), a more recent residency at revered club the Pickle Factory, a monthly show on @rinsefm, and a pre-pandemic touring schedule that took in countless clubs and festivals the world over. She herself admits to being committed to the scene for life, driven by a deep appreciation of the music above all else – and a constant desire to surprise both herself and her audience equally.

For her Patterns of Perception 82, Jane has recreated some of the warmth she felt during her visit to Berlin for a b2b with Eric Cloutier (@cloutier) at our party in November 2019, an event which remains a vivid memory on both sides. The mix features many records collected over the past year of the pandemic and not yet played out, giving it a sense of urgency and an uplifting quality that, for her, recalls an outdoor festival set in better days. “A bit of me was kind of longing for playing on the side of a Japanese mountain again or for all those festivals you do in the summer,” she says. “I wanted to have people stomping on a forest floor.”

@keutmusic, the founder of Kluster, is releasing his first podcast to officially introduce his musical project and residency within the collective.

"It's been nearly 3 years since I created KlUSTER during the lockdown and have been working on the project to create unique and welcoming party experiences.

Like every project leader, I wear many hats within the collective, but my primary role is as the Artistic Director of Kluster Collective and Kluster Records label.

Today, I want to write a new chapter by developing my music career alongside Kluster. KEUT is a project with diverse influences that showcases two facets of my personality. This podcast represents my darker phase, where I delve into hypnotic, textured, and minimalist techno. You'll find my favorite current producers and unreleased tracks from the 'groover 2' compilation.

LIVE 2024 is a departure from any year before it.  With respect to DJ Culture.  Because you all DJ.  You do what I do.  Again with respect.  Respect means I understand.  You turn a few knobs, you build grids of sounds which you attach your name to.  We all do.  

I have favorite DJ's too.  When is the last time a DJ really impressed you?  I know there is real talent in a wave of colorful names.  When is the next time?  I'd be hard pressed to say I could ever do anything more then this.

Jane Fitz presents our milestone 250th Truancy Volume. Here she weaves a tapestry of sound where you can “press go and get on with it from the first record” . It of course see’s Jane’s ever evolving record bag and exceptional set programming sensibilities in full swing. Her ability to climb inside the head of a dancer and know what you need, but continually challenge and surprise you with what you might be capable of going mad for, is just part of what makes her so respected and in-demand. Admired by so many other artists and DJs across the musical spectrum and around the world, we wanted to unlock what it is like playing with such a lethal DJ. For this we briefly spoke with Carl H (Animals On Psychedelics), who has played b2b with Jane on numerous occasions, more recently at the otherworldly Brave Factory Festival closing.
