PREMIERE: Adred - Close To Me [Inperspective Records]

I've recently become interested in the Disintegration Loops by William Basinski. This lead to a fascination with the idea of decaying or forced destruction of recording mediums. In this experiment I intentionally forced the destruction of the tape loop with a scalpel until the tape was completely destroyed. 

The resulted skipping is caused by having to re apply tape to broken areas of the loop. Furthermore, the increased distortion is the result of a lack of medium being recorded to. 

I would like to repeat this experiment with a smoother medium of disintegration - maybe something like sand papers of differing roughness?
