I had a lot of fun playing disco at KitKatClub a couple of weeks ago, so this episode is dedicated to those vibes. The show is loaded with cheeky edits, dusty vinyl rips, and other old-school gems.

I’m currently traveling in Amman, where I’ll be playing at Hobtape x Plastik. So, there’s no spoken intro for this month’s episode. Still, I wanted to share this episode with you right away. It was a spontaneous recording I made while on the move.The mix blends some of my favorite darker tracks with melodic ones. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it. During the Olympics, I somehow found myself playing Italo disco on a daily Dutch TV show called Studio Olimpico. So I decided to turn that adventure into a mixtape. This mix features the tracks I played during the first week of the show, but with one rule for myself: I only selected tracks that I have never used in my mixtapes before. Mainly to keep it fun and challenging on my end.

It is sometimes a little rough around the edges (thanks to the wonky originals and the fact that I record everything live), but the vibes are definitely there. I will record the second week next week, and after that we will return to the regular Darker Side of Disco episodes, enjoy!
