Description

There are many national chapters around the globe that hold regular DJ battles. IDA has various categories in its different countries ranging from Technical battles where beat juggling and scratching are mandatory through to no holds barred technology experimental where turntable music is the principle component. We are now also working on brand new categories, to drive the art form forward.

The IDA (International DJ Association) is organized with the DJ as the main focus and has a family feel about the whole organization. We’re focused on building a true turntablist family, with love for the culture and the scene. A family with ethics, respect and without any agendas or politics. We want to unite all elements of hip-hop & work together to build the awareness, culture & knowledge.

International Dj Association derives directly from the International Turntablist Federation (with its headquarters in San Francisco) which was for many the international organization gathering Djs from all around the world It’s main goal was to promote turntablism, that is the usage of gramophone as a music instrument. ITF had its agencies in more than 15 countries. However, in the year 2006 the federation suspended its activity for the establishment of IDA – International Dj Association with its European headquarters in Munich. Establishment of IDA was the cause of the necessary changes that were made to make the ITF competition more attractive and modern. In the year 2006, federation’s agencies operating all over the world, decided to make a reform which lead to the foundation of a new organization named International DJ Association which started its activity on the 1.1.2007. IDA Canada started in 2012.

Together with Butter Cutter he formed  Vinyl Disruptorz in 2012. Vinyl Disruptorz is a Loop and 
vinyl based scratch duo. Raw cut's over hard loops!

Guilla hosted and Support events with the likes of;
De La Soul, Wu-Tang Killah Beez, J-live, Rahzel, DJ JS1, Royal with Cheese, Borriegineel,WhiteDogg, Brakko Trixx, Mellamell , Riffo, KGV, Neo & Manu, Salah Edin and Cilvaringz
