Patriots And Atheists

     What's up people of Planet Earth. This is your Captain "Gyrus" giving you personally some information  on us, Identity Crisis. The group consists of both Al "Archaic" Ruiz and myself Erik "Gyrus" Bishop.  This information is my recollection of our past and present. Fist off! We both are completely Clean and sober off any mood changing mind altering substances. Its been this way for me since early 2012. Al has been clean since March of 2013. It was no fluke that him and myself ended up where we did and its no coincidence we are where we are today. It was  a "Godshot" that we met. We both are productive members of society and don't join the festivities of active drinking or drug usage of any kind. Don't take us as Squares or stuck up either. Peoples perceptions of us are none of our business, unless they give props or credit. We do the right things for the right reasons, So we actually don't need the credit for the good things we do off the microphone.  We both made the conscious decision to get with the god of our own understanding and stay sober no matter what the fuck happens. Period.  My take on music changes from time to time. So, Its my perception that's  like a fucking rollercoaster, All over the place. Im producing this album for us with my MPC 2000XL. If you know "whats up", then that's all I need to say about our recording gear. I'm personally grateful for my predecessors from different generations (Mainly the 1990's big names in the game) Passing down the torch far enough to The main people who influenced the person who influenced me. Its like a labor of love and shit.  We both are analog hands-on producers who use only software for bouncing and vocals. We both are writers and bounce sastisfactory musically enhanced ideas of each other like ping pong players. We don't sit and critique,  we are very specific and comfortable with the start and end product we create. We both make great money outside of music so we Don't have any unrealistic expectations of one day making it "Big" in the music game, Although, It would be rad. Haha. So, with this all being said I want to wish all of our listeners an Earfull of enjoyment and goodtimes. Godbless. -Gyrus. 

Ayoooo this is Archaic, the under the underground legend, the orange county iconoclast poet and futuristic composer. Let me tell you what Identity Crisis and my hip hop is all about:
First of all we do it all for the love, we do it because we're blessed by God to have a musical outlet and we want to share what we've learned. We make music that is needed. We are against greed and egotism and the disgusting bullshit that has become the norm for hip hop or "rappers" to sell us. I climbed out of a personal hell and I am not going to glorify or pretend that I'm not a role model for my son or a younger generation of artists. If you feel your truth is relative, or are confused about what's good and what isn't then get the fuck off the mic. The truth is the truth, and the false will always be exposed. We've chosen to be warriors for Good, warriors for the light. I'm not impressed by anything but spiritual enlightenment and advanced control of emotions. This is what we bring to the table, check out the art, listen for the hidden messages, god is alive in us, the devil is too, choose a side. Gyrus let's get them...
