Arab, Christian, and Roman stories have played out in Palma de Mallorca, above the turquoise waters of the Bay of Palma. It's here, in this historic layer cake that David Carrillo was born and bred. His attraction to music came from a young age and deepened from year to year, as he cut his teeth in the studio, and in the booth of local pubs and parties. His prowess as a producer is now only matched by the myriad of aliases that he has amassed over the years. A restless musical soul whose creativity strives for true representation. As Difid he curates the infinitely groovy Parsatik imprint. An outlet for his devastating dancefloor bombs that heave and sigh with energy and poise. Alongside this, he's released under both DCP & Dakpa. Laying claim to releases on well-respected labels such as @Sukhumvit-Records, @CurteaVeche, @MulenRecords, @AMAM-2 & @Caph-Records... and the list goes on. This amongst his co-founding and continued contributions to all-star producer team @Befogmusic. 

It's clear that a talent of this magnitude has creative energy like few others, and it's a true pleasure to host Difid on our series.

Baptiste Saint-James aka Petit Batou Dj-Producer from Paris began his interest in electronic music since he started learning the violin in 2011, he has been surrounded by jazz and classical music.  Stamp Records was established in 2015 by his fascination for musical innovation and the development of new talent from around the world.

His skill on the decks captivates audiences and brings people together. Batau can switch between different emotional states using his mixing technique. He positioned himself among the pioneers of the local scene in his kind of minimal music in Paris thanks to his subtle taste for track selection and precision during his gigs.

Petit Batou’s discography reaches a wider range of emotions, mentioning his notable signature on labels such as Tzinah, Kanja, CELO, Inwave.. Petit Batou is like a little boat that is moving forward, going on an adventure, spreading love. Hit play and enjoy the journey!

-このミックスはどちらで収録したものですか？

僕にとって客がいてもいなくてもクラブでレコーディングするのがベストなんだけど、残念ながらこのミックスは家でレコーディングしたんだ。アナログ、デジタル両方使っているよ。


-このミックスのコンセプトがあれば教えてください。

中古で買ったレコードと新しい楽曲をブレンドすることがこのミックスのコンセプトなんだ。これからリリースされるトラックも複数入ってる。


-最近の活動を教えてください。

先月Lazare Hoche Recordsから僕とMakcimの「1055ML EP」をリリースした。僕たちはここ最近いろんなトラックを作っているから、今年中に少なくともあと2枚のレコードがリリースされると思うよ。初めて一緒にリミックスも手がけたんだ。僕のソロEPもそろそろリリースされるはず。あとは自分のウェブサイトのディレクターとしての作業もしているんだ。もしよかったらチェックしてみてよ！www.leviverspeek.com

The seventh instalment of GH Exclusive Mix comes from David Nicolas, part of the tight and vibrant Mannheim group  – the Robert Johnson crew.  

With an energy that has already positioned him on the radar of many crowds and dancefloors, David (previously half of the Sedee duo) spent years engrossed in club culture before making any steps toward playing music, and it’s tempting to see his mixing and selections skills as reflecting that step he’s taken out of the rave.

Throughout the 2 hours and a half, the exclusive mix carries a yin-yang of bright, gleaming melodies rhythms colored by rave influences, encompassing an overall loose feel you’d expect for a home listening. Its carefully-wrought sound design is paired with varying approaches to rhythm,  peppered with emotive synth smears and seldom vocals.

Welcome back again to your favorite show on @IDWW:Radio, always bringing 1A music to your speakers no matter the size. 

We have a very special guest for this 8th edition of ID:Cast, an artist that has moved every corner of the most distinguished dance floors of our scene with the distinctive rhythm of his mixes.
 
@amirjavasoul characterizes himself “always a DJ first” than anything with mixing as his main passion, he loves to be under control of the decks the most, bringing joy to those in the other side, although his outstanding productions are also a key factor on his rewarding musical career. The Iranian selector started to be intrigued by the art of DJing in his early teenage years when he did the move from Iran to Canada with his family. He was soon bedazzled by the influence of the legendary Derrick Carter in one set that changed his life back in the mid 90’s, after that the rest is history.

Since then, his fondness for this art never seized to grow and Amir has had a very exiting journey. Instead of going trough the path of trying to get the likes of big labels, he decided to take the organic route through his DJ technique while performing. Also it is important to mention that because of not being a fan of being alone in the studio, he prefers to create music with his friends, this sharing aspect of his personality has been very important on the development of his career. This is how he created his own label “Creatures of Habit” by the hand of @Maherdaniel, where he got to express all the creativity enriched by his musical path.

Because of his amazing craft for the last two decades, he has maintain himself busy with a very active touring schedule throughout the best locations of the underground electronic music scene. Always a regular in some of the world’s finest clubs and festivals rosters such as the legendary Fabric, Stereo, SXM Festival, the deceased Output, Uberhaus, Piknik Electronik, Sunwaves, Igloofest, among others. 

His music has been and is well supported by many artists that inspired his career through the years in many occasions; names like Ricardo Villalobos, Raresh, Rhadoo, Zip, Shaun Reeves, Ryan Crosson, Sonja Moonear and even Carter are now friends and supporters of his productions; this not only because of his stunning and humble personality but also because of his unbending professional character that manifests in his hard work, both in the studio and behind the booth.

His early influence of course, gave his ear taste buds a wide and rich spectrum in electronic music. Drawn by and from the sounds of Chicago house, acid and 80’s & 90’s techno in general; from legendary names such as Cajmere, Gemini, Deep Dish and Yoshitoshi, Mr. Javasoul has a very solid foundation that can still be identified on his sets today and that you will for sure listen in this exclusive mix. 

He considers his and any DJ career as a never ending quest, so he keeps himself highly educated through these decades of music, not only in the engineering aspect of things but also with a never ending growing record collection, a collection of 8,000+ pieces to be a little bit more specific. In this +/- 80 mins. exclusive set for ID:Cast, audiophiles will soon recognize Amir’s passion for vinyl and again you’ll know what we’ve been talking about. 

As a musician, he understands the importance of dividing the arts of a producing artist and a DJ, as both are not mutually exclusive of one another. Also, fragmenting electronic music to a point of getting lost is something Amir understands is not important; he, like us, understands that there are two main genres; EDM and underground electronic music. What is more important for Amir is to be well defined as an artists and do the things for the right reasons. In his case, the right reason is to do what one loves, in his case; to share with his friends in both the personal and professional...
