In a recent status across social platforms I announced my retirement from Hard Techno after 3 more releases of tunes that I have enjoyed playing in sets and created milestones with. I am returning to my original jackin' raw/groovy Techno that is truly authentically myself, and not to compromise my love for creating for other individuals.

Delighted to be back at Buffalo's biggest music event of the year; showcasing talent across all music genres. Here is the near hour set from last week. Human imperfections, weird sounds, pounding kicks. 

Idiom -  Music Is Art Festival 2025

In late 2022, a new name emerged from thin air in Buffalo, NY’s underground. Idiom is the alter identity of Dane Weisbeck. Throughout nearly 3 full years of this moniker, Idiom has produced and performed across the spectral range of Techno music from Live Jam, Hard/Industrial, Hardgroove, Raw/Hypnotic, and Peak/Drive. After the release of 5 EPs, 3 remixes, and scattered originals, this secured premieres on the largest underground Techno spots such as Techno Wereld (Amsterdam) and HARD VISION (Italy).

His DJ sets are never the same, the vault of music is constant and ever changing with tension, energy, and most importantly: groove. From playing warehouses in Buffalo, to intimate clubs in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Idiom is actively debuting at new clubs/venues to add onto the ever changing expriences he brings the crowds who know him or not.

With a growing presence online, and ever growing discography with the care of  “quantity builds quality,” Idiom has no plans on slowing down for the long-term.
