Music has the power to be a really beautiful thing. It marks certain moments in time that you carry with you your whole life. When ever you hear certain tracks they transport you right back to some place wonderful. I'm madly in love with my girlfriend Christina and went with her in 2012 to Lightning in a bottle where I played this set. LIB is a wonderful and diverse festival on the West coast of America. It was Christina's and my first festival together. I wanted to make it a really really special trip and decided beforehand to play only for her that day inspired by, and full of, my love for the most gorgeous, lovely and sweet girl I've ever met.

LIGHTNING IN A BOTTLE 2012 PART TWO

Over the course of 2013, we have all been taken on a variety of magical journeys through unique fusions of music and art. Whether you were sharing the room with a 20 foot gorilla shooting lasers out of its eyes or moving along with gentle flames dancing atop of melting wax, the artists providing the soundtracks to those experiences are innumerable. Magical moments shouldn't be degraded to a preferential top list. We don’t do top lists here. What we do here at SoundPark is a bit different. Our season closing will encompass some artists that crafted their own magic over the last year. We invited some of our favorites to come by the Park and chat a little about 2013. Along with this, they also provided us a little musical recap with an exclusive mix to keep our feet dancing well into 2014.

Our next SoundPark season closer is an artist that blew the socks off of us throughout the summer of 2013. This song was a staple at All Day I Dream events all summer long and was easily recognizable for its stunning soft lead melody and thunderous bass line. This is a true summer anthem and one we think will stand the test of time. Maher Daniel & Gab Rhome’s “Farewell at the Gates of Dawn” was responsible for some tantalizing, breathtaking, moments over the course of the last year and for that we thank them. For this week, Gab Rhome makes his SoundPark debut to highlight details about 2013 as well as provide the soundtrack to your weekend.

I decided to play really differently for this set. this was the pre-curser for my upcoming daytime outdoor parties in new york and la this summer (from june 12th 2011). the parties are going to be called 'all day i dream' and there's also a forthcoming label of the same name which will be specifically releasing this melodic, melancholic, distant, warm sound. dream on dreamers x

We're excited to present the next Foxcast by Brooklyn-based Bedouin. Tamer Malki and Rami Deejay (Abousabe) are staples on the East Coast, with longstanding residencies in Boston and New York City, separately honing the craft alongside the scene's most recognizable names. When they joined together as a production and DJ duo, the sum of their parts led to something on another level.

Their productions speak for themselves: boasting  releases on Supernature and Get Physical, All Day I Dream and Kindisch, but it's their DJ sets that speak to their complex style and sensibilities; winning over new fans one event at a time. As only their second released set, this Foxcast is deep and groovy, simultaneously brooding and sultry. The track selection digs deep, focusing not on what's hot and trendy, but what moves it forward.

Much like the layer of congealed fat settling on the top of Momʼs Geﬁlte Fish, Ron Levy and Jesse Wright formed a deliciously disgusting DJ duo known as idiot Savant. The duo devised Pocket Underground in 2004 as an outlet for the Matzoh balls that were rattling around in their chicken broth. Ron has been playing and making music since he was knee-high to a duck and Jesse just does it for the free drink tickets. Both feel equally at home with their alkaline goggles on as they do their Burberry Banana Hammocks. Their music can best be described as organic, psychedelic, sexy and completely Kosher...Glatt Kosher...
