Through chaotic, frequently harmonious genre mutations, Lol K create a sonic vision that defies category. They draw inspiration from disparate sources such as post classical, grunge, and contemporary club music.

With ‘climbing/holding/falling’ Lol K expand on their world building with greater lyrical expression than on previous releases while delivering a diverse selection of instrumental experimentation.

Expect harmonious and lush landscapes truncated by angular disruptions performed across their trademark selection of eclectic live instruments including whistles, flutes, strings, warped pianos, heavy 808 slides, detuned guitar and crunchy drum patterns that delve into the left field of contemporary club culture. All filtered through the pairs unique approach to song structure and production, combining moments of extreme precision with looser sonic gestures and utter disregard for genre categorisation.

From the swirling Jersey drums and pop vocals of single ‘Severed Tail’ to the driving, almost krautrock guitar chugs of ‘Doombox', ‘climbing/holding/falling’ sees Lol K stepping into new territory while further defining their sound.
