12. Trisco - Musac (Wonderland Ave Mix)

As I'm remixing Luke Chable this week I thought i'd upload the last KU remix of one of Luke's tracks - this is from way back in 2004, when Chable & Bonnici's "Ride" was already one of the big tracks of the year. We started out doing a very faithful remix, keeping the floaty progressive tones of the original - however, a week or two into it we tore it down & started again. My old partner in KU Matthew Roberts had begun raving about some mixes he'd found by a new act called 2ManyDJs, while i was busily hunting out everything i could lay my hands on from a New York label called DFA. For the year or so before the horror of 'I Like The Way You Move' & 'Put Your Hands Up For Detroit' electro-house was the coolest fucking thing on the planet, with Soulwax & LCD Soundsystem wiping away all the remaining traces of the dark-tribal-twisted sound that had monopolized clubs since 2000. Regardless of what happened to electro next it was a great time in clubs - don't let hindsight fuck up your memories ;)
