Description: Produced in New York, Honest Man elevates Matt Andersen to a whole new level. Jangly guitar pop gets things underway this week. There's a few familiar names: Deryn Cullen appears on the Aakash Rao track, Olafur Arnalds gets remixed, and Matt Andersen (who I'll be seeing next month) gets the soul treatment. Most of the other tracks are heavily dance-oriented, before the list closes with some reggae (Queen Ifrica), and a very chilled piano piece from Montereale (from Nils Frahm's Piano Day 2017 list). Pick of the week is a toughie: I'm a huge fan of Matt Andersen, who is a terrific singer, but I really like the Rao and Arnalds tracks too. If pushed though, I would go for the remix of Olafur Arnald's "Oldurot"... just!
