Lexx has a worked in record shops for close to twenty years, produced records since the late 90’s and played in clubs on a regular basis. Danny McLewin aka Skyrager is one of my favorite people on the planet. His ability to dig out rare unheard of bangers and drop them hot on the dance floor sums up all the reasons we love to go out. Based out of England, Danny travels the world spreading love through music with the group Psychemagik and under his solo moniker Skyrager. An avid record collector and dealer, I'm always so excited to comb through all his mixes. Before After Hours takes you on a blissful musical odyssey. Next up on @idlecellars mix series we have a dear friend, legendary Dj, selector and producer @felix-dickinson blessing us with his unique style and effortless flow. Some sweet unknowns and a few lost classics thrown in, a perfect journey from start to finish.

Felix has been part of the UK's underground dance scene for the last 3 decades, learning his trade DJing at free parties and illegal raves and co-founding his first record label Ugly Music in the 90's. He's produced records for well renowned record labels worldwide including DFA, Rush Hour, Eskimo, Golf Channel, Claremont 56, Futureboogie and his own label Cynic.

He has secured slots at well known clubs and festivals across the globe, and the last few years have seen him receive a lot more attention due to his high profile residencies for Block 9 (Glastonbury) and Croatia’s Love International as well as regular appearances at Houghton, Gottwood, Thailand’s Wonderfruit festival and regular tours of Japan, the USA and beyond.

"The brief for this mix was something that you could listen to with a glass of wine in your hand as the sun goes down. It’s a pretty mellow early evening selection, something you can unwind to at the end of the day, but get’s a little more lively as the second and third glass goes down, so could just as easily be something to bung as you’re getting ready to go out."

In July 2010, I got an invitation to play at a small but neat festival named Folk Ibiza. It was my first visit to the island. I got to spin at a bunch of different locations, such as the Hostal Boutique Salinas, Sunset Ashram, and on the terrace at Space. I returned in September of the following year to play a set on Andy Wilson's show on Ibiza Sonica and a second time at the Hostal. I have not been back to Ibiza since. I recently came across this picture (taken at Cala Compte next to Sunset Ashram), which inspired me to make this mix. I tried to sonically capture the vibe that I felt back then. It includes some bona fide classics such as Ashra "Oasis“, Santana "Aqua Marine," and Jah Wobble & Holger Czukay "Hold On To Your Dreams," as well as tunes by Smith & Mudd, Begin, Quiet Village and more. Idle Cellars is a boutique winery located in Sonoma County, California. We are Ben Larks, a teacher and explorer from Los Angeles and Ari Heavner, an entrepreneur from Berkeley. Our shared affinity for world travel and adventure led us to connect in 2006 while working crush in Sonoma. Idle Cellars was born with our first batch of Cabernet Sauvignon reflecting, as in most harmonious relationships, a balanced yin and yang between city dwelling Heavner and country living Larks. We strive to produce an elegantly balanced wine through our grace of art. Our belief is that the essence of winemaking is getting dirty in the vineyard, ensuring the best of Sonoma. We make it from the vine to the bottle through hands-on craftsmanship. Our knowledge and deep understanding of our agricultural surroundings allows us to choose what we believe are the best processes for each varietal of wine. Working together for 17 years now, Ben and Ari’s winemaking bond is stronger than ever, escalating the Idle movement one glass at a time. 
Music is such an important part of our lives and our wine making experience, we decided to start a mix series which is a musical representation of an #idlemoment.
