better known as Reka, has blown up on the world stage since beginning out as a DJ more than 10 years ago. Since then, she’s become a long time resident at Tresor, embarked on a career as a producer ( her debut EP, Diving the Innermost came out on Phase Fatal’s BITE in 2018) and made the jump to Berghain. But there’s more to Mendez than being a connoisseur of all genres dark and hard-edged. In addition to being a DJ, Mendez is an entrepreneur and a science enthusiast. KEYI sat down to talk with her about her world before techno and the ways in which research and precision define her creative work and her extra musical life.

Andi is a DJ and producer, the founder of the dark synth and industrial party SYNTHICIDE. Her own aesthetic combines her devotion to underground 1980s industrial, EBM, and sleazy synth with dark techno and noise – creating an aggressive and dismal soundscape that is unarguably danceable. She released her first EP "Corpse to Corpus" on Aufnahme + Wiedergabe in 2020 and "Torque Force" Split EP with Randolph & Mortimer in 2021; she is the author of the book «Some Wear Leather, Some Wear Lace: The Worldwide Compendium of Postpunk and Goth in the 1980s».

Munsinger stands out by a fetish for machines and other sound generating devices from which he soaks a raw energy tinted of punk-punk tones. His music is influenced by Rave and EBM sonorities, mixing anarchist synth lines, metallic snares, and martial rhythms.

Releasing selectively on well respected underground labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Throne of Blood, Ombra INTL. Relish, Curses also runs a Rinse France monthly radio residency showcasing artists who share a love for mixing wave and weird disco. Curses finally dropped a long awaited debut full length on Dischi Autunno in 2018.

The Forgotten CCXCVIII: Curses

Italian dj raised in the outskirts of Geneva, Pastram steps out under the banner of Cruel Machine Booking.
Distinctly drawn towards dark atmospheres, Pastram developed a strong focus on raw rhythmics, assuming an intense form of communication where cathartic echoes and cold synths become intricate. An intense musical fusion of the past and the present transcending the line between body music, grinding post-punk, industrial, and wave.
