"As the plague gave rise to an unprecedented surge in technologies relating to surveillance capitalism, we found our pocket of resistance in a precarious position. With our expeditions along the River Styx no longer offering viable gathering sites, we turned our attention to the possibility of entering one of the sprawling web of underground lairs hidden across the city.

A chance meeting in which two societies became one, occurred on a winter night in the shadows of a Metropolitan Police breeding ground. A plot was made for us to enter the doorway to the The Dungeon of Polymorpheus Pan and thus The Judgement Hall X Chronic Illness allegiance was formed across three legendary events."

“Chronic Illness sewage hadn't ever ceased to operate during Covid lockdowns of London. After a series of educational bdsm screenings orchestrated as immersive video installations produced throughout 2020 at the Dungeons of Polymorphous Pan, our performers decided to open the space for an unholy marriage with the lunatic cult congregating around the The Judgement Hall post-industrial music platform. During the first half of 2021 Chronic Illness involved about a hundred of carefully selected followers of The Judgement Hall in a trilogy of performances, conceptualized as theatre of plague. Each of three acts presented a different take on the theme directed by Aliceex & Fung Neo - each act respectively celebrated with 12+ hours of subterranean soundscapes composed by the The Judgement Hall residents.
'Plague Play Plague' referenced the prohibition of theatre during London Black Death through ritualistic procession informed by Artaudian obsession with contagion as theatrical formula. Continuing the risky play, 'Game of Plague' engaged with a simulation of pandemic, visualized through computer game interface projected onto performers' bodies and intersected by lines of infectious conspiracy which repeated gestural vectors from Zulawski's lice cinema. Finally, 'Balcony' returned to the sadomasochism of judgement and punishment by staging a scene from Genet's play of fetishistic coping mechanisms in reaction to the crisis of humanity and social unrest. Thus, The Judgement Hall X Chronic Illness formed a lockdown triad of events, bonding the collaboration by the original live score for Chronic Illness performances by Trojanovskx, transformed into EP on The Judgement Hall Records coming out now.”

We discovered this amazing french artist, two years ago, on Zone, label managed by The Hacker. It was, for the owl, an evidence that Endrik collaborates with her.

So, after several wonderful remixes, we are very happy to present you the first release of our friend Endrik on Mélopée Records. A release that characterizes him perfectly, carried by a cosmic atmosphere and seeming to be inspired by Jean Michel Jarre himself...

The first original "Reboot Robot" is the best summary of Endrik's talent. Everything is here... Perfect cutted rhythm, scatching percussions and the secret of this artist : the beauty of the pads and leads , close your eyes, it's time to go through the milky way !

With "Hypnotron", Endrik proves that he's also able to go outside to his comfort zone. The track breathes new life into house, bringing a celestial environment to this style thanks, once again, to wonderful pads that transport the listener to the depth of his mind.

The trio Leitstrahl complete the release with a perfect vintage remix of "Reboot Robot", more punchy. The soul of the original is preserved but we recognize without a doubt the power of the Italo "Leitstrahl" touch !

Two years after their previous Against Strong Thinking mini album, Spanish techno-meets-new wave duo SDH returns with a new, killer EP. There is a duality rooted deeply in the very soul of this project that is reflected in the line-up as well as in the music the band creates.

While Sergi Algiz is behind the machines propagating a wide spectrum of electronic beats ranging from techno and body music to synthpop and electro, Andrea P. Latorre offsets the night club vibe of the pounding drums with her emotional, romantic vocals.

This same dichotomy is perfectly represented here by their new 12-inch Maybe A Body, out April 29, 2022 on Avant!. The title-track is a powerful song about body recognition, about having a voice and using it, sustained by some throbbing EBM with traces of 90’s trance/progressive, ending up in a perfect balance of rousing groove and hypnagogic feelings.

The B side is the hunting ground for more dream-like scenarios as it digs deep in the nostalgia realm with its retro mood filled with italo and synth-pop bliss. To power up both these aspects of SDH’s identity, we have called two of the best electronic producers out there to remix one track each. Maybe A Body has been given to techno golden boy and Avant! alumni Phase Fatale who has managed to enhance even further the trance-like nature of the track, creating just the perfect dancefloor filler.

All Of That has been instead reworked by the skillful hands of the rising star of the Eighties sound Pablo Bozzi who literally exploded the italo groove, occasionally smoothing things out with some breakbeats just where they’re most needed.

The fourth release on the Industrial Possession label is by Death Posture, the new aka of American artist Daniel Holt (L.I.E.S. Records, Black Lodge, Popnihil, Dead Channel...), who delivers eight tracks with ritual and/or ceremonial feeling.
