Fels is a producer, musician and DJ from Switzerland, active in a variety of musical contexts. Co-founder of the former independent label Strecke Records (2016-2022), he leads several musical projects as a solo artist or with his duo E&A Rüeger with his brother, regularly performing live or working as a sound artist and composer for theatre plays, podcasts and films. Producing for 2 years under his solo moniker, Fels, Alexis has a professional and polished sound made of variations between bass music, ambient, techno and broken beats. In his live performances, Fels’ brings his work to life with synthesisers, effects and rhythm machines.

The Outzone EP is a serious professional workout in the European club genre. A lustrous, slick aura in a subversive, urban experiment, electrifying senses and redefining electronic music. Woven with large threads of creativity and audacious exploration, designed to cascade through the soul with pure euphoria.

A1. Blink: A tension builder and contestation creator, with some sounds recorded in protests against police violence

A2. Outzone: Fel's most explorative track, where he fronted a lot of his musical spectrum, going from distorted 140 rhythms to psychedelic ambient atmospheres

B1. Blurred Edges: Maybe an unconscious ode to Pearson Sound-ish music and Hodge, the darkest track on the EP

B2. Morphed Soil: A tense and threatening ambience, were all the delays and hoovers could make you lose orientation on a dancefloor full of smoke

"So regarding the EP, I'd say this one covers almost all of my musical spectrum. It was maybe the hardest one I've done, since I really needed time to shape every track to be happy with them finally... started the process several times, it was sometimes frustrating but, eventually, I'm really glad to have the tracks as they are, this might be a sort of milestone in my production process :) Also, despite having a lot of "dark" ambiences, I felt it was also important to give some musicality to the whole, I think Outzone and Morphed Soil kind of achieved this purpose."

XYBERWARE presents the eagerly awaited third installment of its Grime compilation series. The compilation focuses on avant-garde and experimental sounds championing innovation and pushing boundaries within the genre.

LEVEL 3 proudly includes none other than US Grime pioneer Starkey, whose groundbreaking contributions to the genre have cemented his status as a true luminary. Joining him is French Grime pioneer DJ Absurd, whose innovative soundscapes have captivated audiences in France and worldwide.

Adding to the international allure of the compilation is Grime and Dubstep legend UZZI, hailing from Greece, whose influence spans continents. 

From England comes SDLR, showcasing his distinctively dynamic flair as the opening track of the compilation, setting the perfect tone for what follows. Also making a return is Canada’s M4XW311 and England based Dubzta, a stalwart presence in the XYBERWARE collective, whose unmatched creativity both continue to push the boundaries of Grime music.

Rounding out the lineup are US-based Smash Atom and KOROstyle, both representing XYBERWARE with their signature styles and unwavering commitment to pushing the sound and genre.

Closing out the compilation is the talented up-and-comer from Australia, Shinobi Yurei. His track promises to linger in the minds of listeners, serving as a captivating outro to this exceptional compilation.

I'm feeling this kinda nostalgic 90's/00's PlayStation kinda drum and bass sound lately, so here's another one. I dunno if anybody remembers those old Casio keyboards that were in every music class in schools in the UK in the early 2000s but if you do then you probably remember the "Get on up!" vocal stab that was programmed on all of them. Not a single class passed by without somebody distrupting it with keyboard cat noises interspersed with "Get on up!"
