WHAT I'M ABOUT
MY MUSIC
Dominic  grew up in Footscray, a suburb West of Melbourne 
My musical background was inspired when I heard the Surf Music genre at age 13, and by the Australian summer of 1963/64 I started taken guitar lessons and studying theory of music with exams taken by The London Collage Of Music. Between 1965 and 1969 I was in a “Garage Band” as the Lead Guitarist. THE SAD TRUTH played mostly in the West of Melbourne at local dances, parties weddings and anywhere where we could get a gig a beer and a feed. At some point we were also resident band at a City venue on a Friday night “Blues on Stage”. We were still in High School and that’s when I started to pen some lyrics but the songs were not just three chord melodies and 12 bar blues some had intricate chord progressions. I love composing in a crossover of genres.
