Solid Grooves favourite Blackchild is the next to land on Hot Creations with the Groove Dealer EP. The three track release serves up heavy-duty club rollers, moulding Blackchild’s early influences with a contemporary flare. 

Title track Groove Dealer kicks off proceedings with a heavy sub-bass and chopy hats as melodic brass tones add the key ingredient. Siempre is next up, following suit with elevating brass notes, punchy percussion and dreamy synths. Rounding off the EP, Inmydreams is a deep and dark cut built for the late night hours, ignited by the blissful and hypnotic vocals. Blackchild reveals that "this upcoming EP on Hot Creations represents exactly what my sound is. The inspiration for these tracks come from all the old Jazz and Motown records I used to listen to growing up, with a modern Blackchild touch." 

Originally from a small island in the gulf of Naples called Ischia, Blackchild is the artist name for Italian artist Gennaro Filisdeo. Heavily influenced by his father‘s record collection, he grew up listening to Hip-Hop, RnB, Disco and old school House music. He began to produce at the age of eighteen, but it was in 2019 that Blackchild joined the Solid Grooves roster, which led him to play at statement venues and festivals such as Printworks London, Auditorium Torremolinos Malaga and ADE Festival. 2020 saw chart success with his track Sexy Thing going straight to #2 in the Beatport Top 10 Tech House Chart and #5 in the Overall Top 10 Chart. 2021 looks set to continue in the same direction with a busy release schedule on the way.

Italian DJ/producer Gabriele Toma readies his deep and funky ‘Lit Bit EP’ for Jamie Jones’ Hottrax this June. 

With his releases on Sticker Music, Be On Records, and SK Recordings picking up support from big hitters Dennis Cruz, Michael Bibi, and Jamie Jones, the Puglian born Gabriele Toma prepares his debut for Jones’ Hottrax with the knockout house three-tracker ‘Lit Bit EP’. 

Across the EP, Toma works vocal snippets and detailed production flair with ease, exemplified on title cut ‘Lit Bit’ which brings squelching percussion around a funky bassline, peppered with breakdowns designed with giant sound systems and crowded rooms in mind. 

‘Back It’ sees robust drum work take centre stage, bringing sustained energy with its hard-hitting low end. ‘Go Stupid’ sees the Italian round things out with a cheeky banger, the mangled hip hop vocals dominating the track while a carefully considered arrangement and more, closing the release in refined style.

Unveiling the label's first release since being awarded 'Best Label' in DJ Mag's Best Of British awards, the 2024 schedule begins with a big label debut from Argentinian DJ/producer Jerëmie. who closes February with his latest single, 'Space Blum'.

Deep and hypnotic, guided by the track's hooky lead female vocals and cosmic synth melodies, 'Space Blum' is a slick, groove-heavy production set to get dancefloors moving in unison well into the late night hours.

Solid Grooves has built a strong following of loyal fans over the years. Starting out as an event series, the London based brand has since achieved global success including a prevalent Ibiza residency last year. Launching as a label in 2015, it wasn’t long before Solid Grooves Records topped Beatport’s overall charts with Wade’s remix of Dennis Cruz ‘See Line’ and cemented its reputation as an infallible imprint, releasing music from names such as Kuo Climax, ONNO, David Pher and Brett Gould.

Dennis Cruz leads the way with ‘Fake’, a vocal focused track with throbbing bass, chopped up samples and infectious percussive components before Franz Costa’s ‘Kate’ blends a medley of intricate rhythmic elements for a trippy low-slung production.

The label co-founders are up next, with Michael Bibi unleashing a roaring low-end in ‘Devil’s Candy’ whilst a spoken word sample operates through, making way for PAWSA’s ‘Taking Over’ – an atmospheric house track geared for powerful subs featuring dub inspired stabs and sharp hats. Reelow then concludes the package, demonstrating his signature style with a cacophony of percussion and mesmerizing effects.

Formerly known as Bini & Martini in the late 90s, Paolo Martini & Gianni Bini have reunited this year for a collaboration in the form of the Eyecode EP on Solardo’s esteemed Sola label.

With many years of experience under their belt, Paolo Martini & Gianni Bini boast a wealth of knowledge, talent and skill in the new EP. Lead track Eyecode is a heavenly slice of tech house, featuring warping synth breakdowns and a captivating vocal hook demonstrating immense production from the pair. Meanwhile, Paolo Martini takes the reins in intricate b side Freaxs weaving amongst cosmic chords and euphoric drum patterns marking an epic debut for both Paolo Martini & Gianni Bini on the Sola label.
