iD was born in Kansas City, MO, raised in LA and San Diego. After combining punk rock roots with poetry and his love for Hip Hop, iD released his first album. Shortly after, he started the 6-piece band Genius of Soul. iD's  rocked shows with Guru (Jazzmatazz), Myka Nyne (Freestyle Fellowship), Cappadonna (Wu Tang), Talib Kweli, Lyrics Born, The Living Legends, Little Dragon, 2Mex, Awol One, Sole, Ecid, Clifford Brown Jr., and KCRW to name a few. iD does mostly his own production using live instruments, MPD, Ableton, Protools, and a Macbook in a cave with a large cup of cold coffee.
