OUR OPERATIVES TRACKED DAZION TO A REMOTE SPOT ON THE DUTCH COAST, WHERE HE WAS SPOTTED TRIALLING THIS NEW TECHNOLOGY WITH HIS FAVOURED F2 DRAGON BOARD. AS HE RODE THE CHOPPY WAVES, WE WERE ABLE TO DETECT AND RECORD RHYTHMICAL ELECTRONIC MUSIC EMINATING FROM THE BOARD ITSELF. WE ENCLOSE THIS RECORDING, WHICH FEATURES THE KIND OF TRIBALISTIC, DELAY-LADEN DRUMS, SWELLING ELECTRONICS AND EXOTIC MELODIC REFRAINS THAT ARE KNOWN TO INSPIRE FRENZIED DANCING IN MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC. WE HAVE CHRISTENED THIS RECORDING “DRAGON WAVE”.

AFTER EXITING THE WATER, DAZION PACKED UP HIS TOP-SECRET WINDSURFING TECHNOLOGY AND DROVE TO A BACKSTREET ADDRESS IN A QUIET AREA OF AMSTERDAM. THERE, IN A LIGHT INDUSTRIAL UNIT, HE CONTINUED TO TINKER WITH THE TECHNOLOGY, TESTING IT OUT BY BROADCASTING ANOTHER MUSICAL COMPOSITION. THIS WAS MORE POIGNANT AND MELANCHOLIC IN TONE, UTILISING SPAACEY ELECTRONIC MELODIES, GENTLY BOBBING CHORDS, HEART-ACHING GUITAR FLOURISHES AND A TOUGH BUT BROKEN RHYTHM TRACK. THE RECORDING – CODE NAME “VX LTD” – HAD A HUGE IMPACT ON US EMOTIONALLY AND EVEN REDUCED ONE OPERATIVE TO TEARS.

IT IS OUR BELIEF THAT THE SAFE TRIP ORGANISATION WILL ONLY INCREASE IN STRENGTH WITH DAZION’S INVOLVEMENT. WE RECOMMEND WATCHING THE WAVES AND WINDS INTENTLY FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS.

Italy-based talent Verner makes his debut on Nachtbraker's Quartet Series to deliver an eclectic seven-track EP titled 'Crash Of The Web', featuring the funky synth excursion 'Tecladista'.

With a unique sound profile that fuses elements of funk, jazz, organic textures and electronic elements, Verner is proving to be a versatile talent. His passion for synthesizers shines through on his new material, showcasing gripping ballads that are equally at home on the dancefloor as they are in your headphones. The 'Crash Of The Web' EP is the final installment in the Trophy Quartet on Nachtbraker's label and is one that embodies the diverse sound of the imprint that keeps listeners engaged with intricately woven sonic arrangements.

Premiere: Verner 'Tecladista'

The Alishan Forest Railway is a 86 km network of narrow-gauge railways running through the forests of Alishan Mountain in Chiayi County, Taiwan. During the Spring months, the iconic red train passes through an endless array of cherry blossoms and small, untouched villages. This peaceful scene is set in contrast to the stories told by locals, of wandering spirits seen deep in the forest. The spirits are believed to be the lost souls of the 32 passengers, who perished in the tragic derailment of the train in 1981.

Burn a candle in remembrance when you play this record at the club.

The still fresh Label "Foul & Sunk" is about to release their fifth EP, and still not an year old! This time ist is the debut single from Oldschool-House affictionado Borrowed Identity. Though still young, you could easily believe that he was there since the beginning, producing a fusion of Detroit- and Chicago- Style House with his own up-to-date Flavour.

And he got the fantastic Mark E to finish the A-Side of this 4-Track Record with a remix!

The A Side starts with "Stimulation". And that's a perfect name for this track that comes with a really dry and classic combination of smashing snairs and a bumping bassline, soon accompanied by a spheric synth that sends you flying on the dancefloor. This one's a soon to be classic that feels like produced with the trippy afterhours of grimey underground clubs in mind, but can be played at every part of your set – if you play it right, that is.

The A2 is the Mark E Remix No.9 of "Stimulation". And it draws a clear line between everything called "edit" and a proper remix. His own Interpretation of this track reminds of a steam machine, gaining force as it rolls forward, using the sounds of the original mix to build up a totally different energy – one that is demanding but at the same time keeps you going and wanting more.

The B Side doesn't come short, either.
"Faith", the first track on the Flipside (if you're a vinyl lover) is a bit more laidback, but on the dancefloor a huge shaker! Smooth keys and soothing vocals paired with a straight kick, thriving drums and a perfect snair to top it off . Smooth, but sill made to dance to.

The B2, "Enter the Void", is a track that's more than worthy to finish off this wonderful record. It's the deepest of the pack and an 8-minutes monster of a track that takes it's time. Dub meets House and shows how Deephouse can and should sound like.

All in all a true gem that will not go out ouf style as long as there is House.

B1 Borrowed Identity - Faith (FASM-005)

Reworking a big tune is never a simple task, especially if after 7 years the tune in question is still one of the highlights in
shows of one of the worlds most beloved live act performers, KiNK.
That’s only half of the story though, as the tune got a lot of love from so many DJ’s all over the globe.
However, for the 17th burek release, we wanted to do something really special and what could be better than giving new
life to a piece of music which literally gave life to our label. And we gathered some very interesting people for the job.
A1 KiNK - Leko (Kink’s Bass Shake Version) is a rework by none other thank KiNK himself. The original is a party
monster as it is, so Strahil opted for an alternative approach that sheds an interesting light on a familiar song. Huge
resonating bassline

A2. In 2013 KiNK had an successful E.P. with Rachel Row called Follow The Step which had a major impact on both of
their careers. Later while touring with Rachel she had an idea to put some vocals on top of the first Leko track, which
now turned into a completely different, slow track with the familiar piano melody.

B1 KiNK - Leko (Session Victim Remix) is a wonderfully subdued take on the original. It keeps all the main elements we
all know and love, and enriches them with a more percussive feel, well placed guitar licks and an overall easier mood. All
that said, don’t make a mistake with thinking this is something for the living room as this one’s made for those special
daytime/sunset/sunrise moments when a tune like this turns the situation into something everyone will take home with
them.
B2 KiNK - Leko (Original Version) is the tune, in all it’s glory and attitude. Full-fledged peak time house track which turns
every party into a steaming pit of bodies asking for more. Too hot to ignore.

Space Ghost returns with hedonistic house anthems for your living room dance floor on his latest EP, Time To Dance.


After a string of successful albums on Apron and Tartelet Records, the Oakland native Sudi Wachspress (Space Ghost) returns with a selection of golden-era house anthems conveying the message of unity through dance – a much-needed reminder of better days.

The 28 year-old producer and DJ has been gaining momentum over the last few years. His growing catalogue of ambient-leaning house with lush musical textures is a testament to carry on the legacy of famed US house producers, who have set the tone and pioneered electronic dance music since the 1980s.

On his new EP, Time To Dance, Space Ghost gets on the mic and takes us back to the early days of house music, effortlessly mixing the deep bass rhythms of Chicago with the Nu Groove-era of the East Coast. 

“This release was mostly inspired by some early East Coast house. I started the idea before Covid-19 really took over the world. I wanted to make something explicitly for the dance floor, kind of like my own dance floor anthem.”

The EP’s main cuts “Time To Dance” and “New World Energy” both come in two versions – a main version and an alternative mix for maximum dance floor pleasure. As the artist’s vocals echo on the track: It’s time to come together and work for a better future for all.

“Now with everything going on with the coronavirus and all the protests in the US and across the world, I think my goals have shifted. Even though the world is on pause and people can’t spin these tracks at a club, I still think the message of Time To Dance is: We can work together and music can help us through it.” 

Time To Dance is out on vinyl and all digital platforms on August 7, 2020.
