In Dust We Trust are back with their second 12" of 2017. This time the two entities, Chaos In The CBD and Jon Sable, offer one side each. On side A, ‘False Awakening’ by Chaos In The CBD attacks your brain with open, spacious pads and synthesised melodies that float on top of a dark and hypnotic percussive groove — the kind that might make you miss your stop because you’ve found yourself staring into space. 

On the flip side you have ‘Scumbag Unity’ by Jon Sable, a loose dreamy track with dubbed-out pads and vocals that glide between a drum machine groove. This marks the second collaboration between Jon Sable and Kroba of Archie Pelago, who plays the woozy basement-style saxophone that keeps your consciousness hooked. Serious tip for those drawn to the deeper side of dance floor-ready records.

The sixth release on @firstsecond-dublin comes courtesy of mysterious Berlin duo G.E.O. Corp. Out 31st August, 'College Drive' has already been receiving support from the likes of Shanti Celeste and NTS' Charlie Bones, and comes backed with a remix by Der Opium Queen who's also released on the label.

We're very happy to be premiering the Day Mix, a shimmering sliver of breakbeat house that already has me pining for a half-remembered summer. It's got an outrageous piano solo and some cheeky saxophone. What more could you possibly want from life?

London’s FYI Chris joined Toy Tonics!

After releases on Rhythm Section, Church and West Friends the 2 DJs, producers and record shop dons from London/ Peckham chose the German Toy Tonics label for their next release. 
The guys know what’s fresh in club culture. They’ve been store managers at one of London’s coolest record stores: Rye Wax/ Peckham for the last 2 years. And they are becoming one of the most interesting names of the post-house scene of London.
Their first encounter with Toy Tonics was through label boss Kapote. They quickly realized that there are big similarities in their musical vision and way how dance music should develop... so what makes more sense to make an EP together?

So here it comes: FYI Chris next level electronic funk music! MPC style.

Following a pair of outstanding releases on Distant Hawaii, Mood J storms back with his first release on the buzzing UGONGETIT imprint that's packed with his signature soulful, jazzy and emotive house sound.

Leading off 'UGONGETIT005' is the infectious dancefloor weapon 'Can't Give You Up' that showcases his knack for fusing classic samples with bumping house rhythms. As the label describes, the material oozes with "jazzy house explosions to accompany the zestful dancefloors on the planet. Juicy synths with dreamy vocals and sandy hats." Enough said, this is essential.
