A DT mix I made on my decks after a failed attempt to repair the busted volume fader so I had to pull some tricks out of the bag, made some mistakes but wanted to pass this on anyways.

After a long cold winter we came together for a beautiful house party to celebrate the sunshine 🌻🌞🌻 and when the sun went down 🌝 we danced! 🪩

Such a prime party! There were a couple kinks [was my first set in months] and my flash got unplugged so the recording just ends. 😅

I got to play an unexpected interlude set between two friends at the opening for a new art workshop space and relished the moment- a cathartic release, acknowledgement of the magic in everything.

Here's an expression of my current state of mind at large.

A final sendoff for my digs of 3 years and we hosted the most epic house rave. 
I kicked off with the first segment, Choppie brought in some tracks later, we mixed for a bit then I took us sailing off into the darkness. 

The recording stopped at the 3 hour cutoff so I need to stitch the last part on but I'm so proud of this mix I had to upload it in the meantime!

COSMIC HOUSE RAVE by KARATE WATER: THE STEREO KID & TJOPPIE

I've had so much love for desert techno since I first found the four on the floor in my varsity days, I quickly found my desert techno playlist growing way bigger than my other techno playlists... and so my love grew and grew, yet this is the first set that I've actually recorded.

I got a little carried away with some of my current favourites at the end but the overall groove has the beautiful desert tech energy and flow.

An impromptu set on a red hot firey dancefloor.

I had a couple tracks in mind to mix if they asked me to play, so I'm glad I got to throw them down. Indie dance with rock 'n roll riffs, some trippy beats and lots of percussion. We end it off with an indie rock belter for some classic saffa (South Africa) energy!

The classic Soul Surf event - when the soul surfers, searchers and rockers come together we boogie under the stretch tent.
It's a funky, disco flavoured mix bag of tracks. Rock, afro, intergalactic discotech and more.

Here is my prior recording due to some technical issues and interruptions from the cops. Stoked how it turned out, some of my all time fave disco-tech bangers from songs that are like 20 years old to new bangers I found in the weeks leading up to the set.
