Spasmodular, a.k.a. Spasmodular Sounds from Steve's Shortwave, composes soundscapes featuring radio frequency sounds captured among the shortwave spectrum. In addition to experimenting with RF sounds, field recordings, and other electronics, Spasmodular also writes compositions for piano, and is currently performing/recording with the electronic duo VCO (Vincent Carlton Oscillator).

Bachground:  I do not use AI for composing music.   I like and write in many styles of music.  I  play piano, synth, guitar, bass, bodhran and I sing from time to time.  Went to the United Stated to learn jazz piano and was recommended to study Contemporary Classical Music. So I did that for a few years.

Apart from not using AI for composing music.  I do not use loops such as Apple Loops.  I will create my own loops if I want to use the technique in EDM.  As far as sampling is concerned, I make my own most of the time but have and will use a few supplied as sounds included in instruments by the manufacturers for use by the owners of the instruments.  I do realize that DAWs may include Ai technology for mixing and mastering.  So I cannot say that I am completely free from Ai usage at the moment but am gradually shifting things out of the box. I like to feel my own mind flowing freely in my music without plastic manipulation.  

I am currently moving out many of my activities to various other kinds of platforms available for musicians.  Now I am concentrating on writing a few hundred tracks.  On Sound Cloud I have met very interesting and nice musicians and that was excellent experience.
