Another Hamilton number!  Many thanks to baovmusigeek for supplying the backing track.  In the show Burn is sung by Eliza Schuyler Hamilton after her husband, Alexander, published the Reynolds Pamphlet in 1797. This document saved Alexander from charges of speculation on Revolutionary war wages, but let public an ilicit affair he had with Maria Reynolds. Eliza burns her old letters from Alexander which might have redeemed his character, which is why we have so little of her personal writing to him to this day.
