Steel Mogu and Clear Tamei are Iglooghost’s back-to-back follow ups to his acclaimed full-length debut Neō Wax Bloom. As ever, the releases are bundled with multimedia storyline material that feed into Iglooghost’s ever-expanding narrative - giving longtime fans their first glimpse into the primordial era of the Mamu dimension. Although paired in format, the dual EPs draw from different corners of Igloo’s influences. Steel Mogu is a hyperspeed collage of synthetic, trance-influenced synths contorting around violent, mutating 808s - whilst Clear Tamei channels lavish string quartets and melancholic, fictional classical instruments.

The double features are set in Mamu, 3000 years prior to the events of ‘Neō Wax Bloom.’ We are introduced to a young, see-through, god in-training named Tamei. Although a gifted, he and his little cohorts resent their fate of becoming Grid Göds - and find themselves wound up in a hyperspeed, cross-temporal battle with a fleet of mysterious, round beings.

Iglooghost - 'Niteracer'

In "Mei Mode," Iglooghost pulls no punches. The track chops up grinding dubstep wobbles with rubbery squeaks and pairs it with the aria an intergalactic opera singer. "Mei Mode is a really loud song about fast matte-black bikes that little goon beings are riding. They are trying to shoot pinging red beams at 3 little monks," Iglooghost describes setting the scene for an inter-dimensional battle. He also offers some advice, "when you listen to it, move your head really fast up and down and swing your arms everywhere. It makes it sound really cool."

Distant Memories

There are very few things in life that i understand the actual purpose of in life, and one of those things is the emotional benefits from experiencing the right cocktail of light and sound.  the emotion and state of oneness that results from dynamic release of ego during dance is the second closest thing i have found to being completely spiritually free.  This brings a harmonic balance between third (sound) and fourth dimensional (light) vibrations that fill us with such passion and feeling of community. It has been wonderful watching the rise of music intensive events over the past decade and I hope to see if management can create an self sustaining music festival style commune and begin drafting potential young musicians ultimately becoming a sovereign country or self governing statehood at least.  The internet has came and has been utilized for years now, but to me it appears that none of the people in power have either realized or are scared of a global welfare system in which they do not profit.  We currently grow more food that we can feed all the humans yet children die of starvation every day.  Capitialism was a good idea when we had scarcity and poor social management techniques.  Now all alive have only lived like that their whole lives so cannot even imagine a life otherwise.  Now with a communistic view on the global resources of course there will be huge numbers of people gluttoning the rations, but we have the capability to support that for a few generations.  It me seem callous for me to say but we are on the verge of the split of humanity   soon the will be user/consumers  and  Inventors/teachers.  there will be a large percentage of humans that spend most/all time in virtual worlds(this is not to be said that they will be useless for much problem solving and any other self reflected dilemmas) and a significantly smaller group of people that understands technology, generations will pass but eventually you would see subspecies of humans appear with those who create and those who consume growing farther apart. This is all speculation and i know it has nothing to do with my profile but i just wanted to say that the sharing of digital information is the last part of the world that i have faith in and thank all of you for producing such excellent tracks.   To show a federal government that a small percentage of planetary interested people can do more than power hungry bureaucracy we have running the world currently, would show the rest of the world that we are not different countries vying over a limited amount of land but all people who should be focused on the most sustainable uses of resources.  I love soundcloud for the ability for no-name artists to showcase their sometimes excellent abilities, but we need to take it the next step.  A physical location with the same kind of community and sonic sharing as we see online.  Lots of money goes into festivals but i feel a lot of it is put back into a reoccuring event it could be a real catalyst for change.  I realize the idea is quite far fetched but i feel it can be done with nothing else that a few other like minded people willing to put up just time and effort not even capital investment.  Once again apologies for having very little to do with soundcload profile oh well  here it goes....Born in '91, like almost all kinds of music but tend to gravitate towards EDM tracks with heavy breaks and catchy basslines
