Faint gasps were heard from the crowd as the wonkster stepped down from his portal, dripping with riddim sauce. "It is here, drink from it" he said as he handed the soundcloud link out to the people. "And then it was and shall never be again." a strange voice whispers from afar. Poof! In a cloud of smoke the wonk master disappears. Now here you stand, a mere mortal about to hear this otherworldly entity. Will you choose to accept the powers of the wonk within or suffer a life of boring riddim? Sit back with some sort of quality sound setup and some time to really take it all in, and methinks you too can discover the answers that you seek within the wonk and wonder...

The first time I heard Gunna’s Skybox record, my reaction was “This is different…” and after having it on repeat for a couple weeks, I thought it would be fun to experiment with a remix. With this track I really tried to step away from what you’d expect out of a trap Hip-Hop remix, and I leaned into the strong triplet groove of the original record on the verses and a euphoric, summertime friendly drop. 

I’ve felt really lucky to be inspired during this stay at home period and I’ve been writing a ton of music for my project that I can’t wait to share with you guys over the summer. For now I hope this one makes your day a bit better and brings back some of those warm weather vibes I know we’re all ready for 🌊

Debuted in Prague last October, ‘Diving Out Of Love’ is the final single to be released in full from Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 350 celebrations. Following ‘Reverie’, ‘I Saw Good’, ‘Jam’ and the Club Mix of ‘Bittersweet & Blue’, ‘Diving Out Of Love’ is the final piece of the puzzle, with Jono Grant from Above & Beyond on vocals once again. He last sang on 2018’s ‘Is It Love?’, from the band’s Billboard #3 album ‘Common Ground’.

Receiving a final polish during lockdown earlier this year, ‘Diving Out Of Love’ was a centerpiece track on the trio’s Anjunabeats Volume 15 compilation. A record that presented many challenges in the studio, it’s a helter-skelter ride through several styles of trance.

Accompanied by a mesmerizing lyric video, ‘Diving Out Of Love’ is out now on Anjunabeats.

A trance classic goes breakbeat with gardenstate’s remix of Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston’s 2004 collaboration, ‘No One On Earth’, out now on Anjunabeats. 

From 2004, ‘No One On Earth’ is the 39th release on Anjunabeats. It’s the first Above & Beyond track co-written with Zoë Johnston and the beginning of a momentous artistic partnership. 

gardenstate was formed after a chance meeting between Marcus Schössow and American producer Matthew Felnerand in 2008. The pair started creating music together last year and have already supported the likes of Eric Prydz, Sander Van Doorn, Ferry Corsten, Gabriel & Dresden and Mat Zo. They’ve released on imprints like Yotto’s Odd One Out, Joris Voorn’s Spectrum and Cosmic Gate’s Wake Your Mind. 

One of several remixes commissioned to mark the 20th anniversary of Anjunabeats, gardenstate’s raved-up take on ‘No One On Earth’ debuted last September on Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 400 livestream.
