Lisbon-born artist who has dedicated his life to electronic music. Igor enjoyed spending most of his early 20s skateboarding, searching for records and DJing at parties with friends. In 2005, he set off for England and has remained in the UK ever since. In 2008, he was recognised for his technical abilities and selection prowess, winning the Galaxy Radio West Midlands Street Life Championship and becoming the finalist of 2010 West Midlands Corona Movida Competition. Following this, he won the MOS and Mixmag DJ competitions, signed a contract with Ministry of Sound London in 2011, and was invited to play at the esteemed Mixmag Future Heroes Tent at Creamfields Festival in Liverpool. 
 
During his residency at Ministry of Sound, he played alongside and supported many big names including Funk D’void, Ian Pullen, Alex Neri, Roger Sanchez, Bob Sinclair and more. He toured all over the world for four years, representing the brand as Resident/Guest Artist at the likes of Colombia, Brazil, Italy, Poland, Philippines, Estonia, Portugal, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Chile, France, Algeria, Ukraine, Uruguay, Argentina and more. His outstanding sets showcased his formidable technical skills and versatility in playing a wide range of electronic music, adapting his sets seamlessly to diverse crowds. 
 
All of the above, coupled with his captivating personality created the Igor Carmo that is appreciated by music lovers the world over. After all these years of playing electronic music for warm up sets and closing parties, as well as featuring as the main guest, Igor has decided to take some time to work on a sound that really represents him as an artist: Melodic, Deep, Organic, Progressive House.

Welcome to the 31th episode of my Confined Spaces Radio Show. This time we have the double trouble, 2 guests with 2 amazing mixes. My first guest is my brother and partner at Deep House Dublin, Mr Fizzy Waters for the first part of the show. He was with us already in one of my previous shows. As for the second guest, he is Lisbon-born, UK based artist. His residency at Ministry Of Sound is definitely one of his proud moments. There he played with the likes of Alex Neri, Funk D’void , Bob Sinclar, Roger Sanchez and many more.

Igor Carmo has dedicated his life to electronic music, so much in fact that in 2005 he relocated to the U.K. after falling in love with its underground culture. Since then, he has gone on to have a residency at Ministry of Sound and played alongside the likes of Roger Sanchez, Ian Pullen, Bob Sinclar and many more, all over the world.

The Lisbon-born artist has toured throughout South America, Europe and Asia, lighting up dancefloors all over and letting his charismatic personality shine through. Igor displays an adaptability and versatility to work with the crowd and their energy, selecting the perfect track for the perfect moment, while showcasing his globally recognised technical ability.

After taking some time to determine the direction of his sound and identity as an artist, Igor Carmo is ready to take things to the next level.
