Strong As A Mountain

Chorus: Sometimes I feel so far, your love brings me back I never get too far. A highlight reel of the stars because my head stays high all the nights I cry. One thing I know is I’m not alone, with Allah by my side I always feel at home. Embracing all His love is key, when you feel tied down His love will set you free.

Bridge: Fighting for my life, but I’m not afraid to die. Just afraid I won’t be the best of me, when you gave me all this time. I’m afraid you won’t be proud of me, I’m a sinner in this life. In need of aid from all my wrong doing’s, at times my life feels like a lie.  

Verse: Ya Allah you’re the only one I call on. My trust in you, you’re the only one I fall on. Without you my soul is nonexistent, and for you my eyes they stay on the mission.

~`Traces of the Beloved`~
A Whiff of your fragrance turned my face,
To catch a glimpse of the end of your garment as it quickly flew past me.
Leaving me to wonder if I saw you? Or heard  your footsteps as they faded in the distance- yet so close. The sound of your presence so close to my ears that I can feel it, beating inside of me, wait, is that my heart? Or yours? 
Closer than my jugular vein - Oh Beloved! It’s you! Hoo in me…so close we can’t see you…YOU. سبحاناالله and Shukr! You’re here! Finally! Or finally I know that the reflection I’m seeing is not me but you! Finally can look in the mirror and behold your beautiful countenance. How long has this journey been? How long have I searched for you? At long last to be able to open the eyes of my heart and glance upon your beauty. But when I open my eyes and fall back into what they call wakefulness, it’s only your traces that remain. A whiff of the perfumed air you passed through…the tail end of your garment as it flew by…the sound of your footsteps…traces of the beloved all around me, within me.

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When you pass by the meadows of Paradise, graze as you like.” They said, “What are the meadows of Paradise?” The Prophet said, “Circles of remembrance.”
