Sometimes when you find a space and just want to stay there.  Then your Singer one-takes some words on the spot.

*Simple Whisky Tangarine
1.5 oz whatever whisky you got
0.5 oz simple syrup
2 dashes tangerine bitters

Stirred over ice in a lowball with an orange or tangerine peel.

*Whisky Tangarine (Cocktail)

Ingredients:
2 oz bourbon or rye whisky (for warmth and depth)
1 oz fresh tangerine juice (zesty and sweet)
0.5 oz lemon juice (to sharpen the edges)
0.5 oz honey syrup (1:1 honey and water, for smooth sweetness)
2 dashes Angostura bitters (for complexity)
Optional: splash of ginger beer (if you want a fizzy, spicy finish)

Garnish:
Tangerine peel twist or a dehydrated citrus wheel
(Optional) sprig of thyme or rosemary for a smoky herbal contrast

Instructions:
Shake whisky, tangerine juice, lemon juice, and honey syrup with ice.
Strain into a rocks glass over a large cube or sphere of ice.
Add bitters over the top.
Optional: top with a small splash of ginger beer for a lifted finish.
Garnish and serve.

It’s kind of like an Old Fashioned's younger cousin who left town to start a funk band. 

*Smoky Tangarine

1.5 oz mezcal (keeps the smoke front and center)
0.75 oz fresh tangerine juice (sweet citrus hit)
0.25 oz lime juice (enough acidity to brighten without thinning it)
0.25 oz agave syrup (sweetness with a touch of earth)
1 dash orange bitters

Glassware:
Serve in a rocks glass over a large ice cube to slow dilution.

Garnish:
Expressed tangerine peel
Optional: rosemary sprig lightly torched

Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.

Shake briefly (10–12 seconds).
Strain over a large cube in your lowball glass.
Garnish with the peel and/or the rosemary for flair.

It’s smoky, citrusy, and just a little wild — like a bonfire on the edge of an orange grove.

The music was written in LA while working on Big Brother.  Messing around with an alternative tuning EADABE. Loved the tuning so much I wrote a few songs with it over the next couple of days.
