And then — the dreamed-of altitude. They put on their artificial wings, bat-like and strange, becoming colorful shadows ready to take flight. Their hearts beat in unison with the mountain wind whispering: “Now or never.”

One by one, they leave the cliff — not jumping, but surrendering to the sky. A dance begins, between life and death, between trust and chance. Every second feels like eternity, every gust like a kiss from fate.

And when the parachute opens — it’s not the end, but a new beginning. Now each is on their own, like a bird searching for its nest. Even those who’ve flown must touch the ground — to dream of the sky once more.

Musical Interpretation of the Scene
At first, we hear the howl of a cold wind and the warning voice of a mountain Troll. But our daredevils do not retreat — they head toward the highest cliff, don their Wingsuits and Kraken.
The first jump is voiced by a solo saxophone. The second — a duet merging in midair.
Moments later, they separate again. Kraken unfolds — and each seeks a place to land.

I live in Kyiv, near a wide avenue where the roadway carries a small imperfection. Each time a truck with a metal body strikes that hollow, the sound echoes like a distant blast — a phantom reminder of missile strikes. At night, the city sometimes trembles with the roar of machine‑gun fire, as the guns shoot down Shahed drones.
One night I woke up to what seemed an explosion. Lying still, I wondered: was it only a truck jolting into the hollow, or had another attack begun? The crackling of machine‑gun fire followed, convincing me that unrest had returned. Yet suddenly the noise ceased, and silence reclaimed the night. My agitation softened, and sleep slowly embraced me again.
Morning arrived with light filtering through the window. Once more I woke to the rhythm of machine‑gun fire — but this time it was the gentle snoring of our Chihuahua, echoing like distant bursts of a machine gun. Checking my phone, I saw no alarms, no alerts. The night had been quiet after all: only the rumble of trucks and the breath of a small dog.
From that fragile passage between fear and relief, I sat at the synthesizer and began to compose. Another musical storylife was born — a sad yet cheerful tale, shaped by the conditions we have endured for four years.

I was born and live in Ukraine. My place is here, in Kyiv.
Since February 24, 2022, Russians have been killing our citizens and trying to occupy the entire country. I had the opportunity to leave, but I chose to stay.

Every night, my family and I go to bed without any certainty that we will wake up in the morning. In Kyiv, it’s impossible to run to the bomb shelter several times a day or spend the night in cold basements. We are periodically awakened by loud explosions that set off car alarms, shake the walls, and shatter windows in nearby homes. We rejoice when the rocket doesn’t hit our house.
In three years of war, the Russians have captured part of our territory. Thanks to international support and the resilience of our citizens, our Armed Forces continue to repel attacks from Russia — a country of terrorists.

In order not to go crazy, we try to live a full life. We visit cultural institutions — theaters, cinemas, concerts — we see friends, grow plants at our dachas, care for bees, paint, write music, and win international competitions in art and sport. In these conditions, I dedicate myself to music storytelling — a genre that blends emotion, narrative, and sound. I received a musical education in piano, and my father, a university lecturer, taught me to play the guitar.
