This is an assignment I had to do for university, putting genres and instruments together that aren't traditionally put together. So for instance, I used classical instruments, african drums, a sort of electro set up with lots of synths and then onto a more rock based set up. I also used a traditional post modern style of layering and repetition, another post modernism was the unconventional use of vocals, with the way that I played them.

University Assignment - Post Modern ft. Twin Atlantic, Drake, Eminem.

This was my first piece of university coursework. I was asked to write a piece with good use of 'Sound, Harmony, Melody, Rhythm and Growth. The idea behind this is essentially, backing music to a game, first section, character wakes up, second they are adventuring, third they go in to a dungeon, fourth they are adventuring again, fifth they are resting at the end of the day.
The time signature changes around the following very frequently, 17/16, 4/4, 5/4, 3/4 and 2/4. The imperfect cadence at the end is placed their on purpose to create a feeling of uncertainty.
