8205 Recordings is back in 2022 with two records by an absolute legend of the scene - Bizzy B! One of the best, most distinctive and fiercely independent producers of the jungle/dnb era, Bizzy’s production chops are still the stuff of legend. The tracks on these EPs aim to showcase two different but equally important sides of Bizzy’s music: one more dark and experimental, the other upfront, slamming and jungle-oriented. 

Complementing the rawer vibes on “Close Your Eyes” EP,  “Big People EP” [8205-016] shows Bizzy’s slightly later (94-95) jungle mastery to a fine degree. On the A side, “Big People'' is an absolute monster of a track, with earth shattering drums and bass breaking through your speakers, not letting up until the last few moments.  On the flip, “Fool Bwoy (Amen Mix)”  is classic Bizzy ragga jungle through and through: heavy amens, big bass and catchy vocals. Finally, “Fling Down the Bass” keeps the ragga vibe going, but dials the intensity back a bit, with slick cold sweat break work and a more stripped down feel. 

Both "Big People EP" and "Close Your Eyes EP" will be for sale June 17th, 2pm UK time on https://8205.bandcamp.com, available as either coloured vinyl or more limited black vinyl, with full black and white picture sleeves. Redwood’s favourite prodigal son Liam K. Swiggs is a bonafide local Ōtautahi Lad who loves watching a bit of Rugby League, slamming back a box of Haägen's and ripping a few cones; And when he’s not out keeping the streets safe on Redwood Patrol - He curates the Independent Belfast Based Record label; The Big Fresh Collective.

With a longtime love for student radio and the influence from his parents he formed his taste for music as he dived through boxes of records in his local store, growing up surrounded by Indie Alternative vibes from his Dad Neil & Mother Bronwyn Swiggs, starting off his own journey with a healthy obsession for hip hop, followed by the angsty teen death & black metal years, channeling his aggression back into some hardcore punk, back towards hip hop and eventually winding up in the world of Ghetto Technical Electronic Music.

This mix represents a killer sidestep for Liam K. Swiggs showcasing some of his favourite non footwork/juke music from past, present & future at his native 160BPM tempo - Littered with unreleased tracks and unearthed classics this mix packs a punch like a front rower running off the back fence - Yummy!

Featuring traxxx from; Andwahn, Casper De Wit, Lakeboon, DeepState, Karl Stevens, Grecco Romank, DJ CDQ and a whole lot of edits from Liam K. Swiggs himself!

I have been making music for over 30 years. My discography is full of various themes, including ambient, jazz, funk, IDM, drill'n'bass, acid and more.
